VOTE: Final Alternative Name for Keen/Toonspace

Post by Phalanx »

Ok, we've gone through the nominations. The list is up there. Everyone's gone through the pros and cons here.

The ones that have been left out from the other thread either didn't get seconded or their domains were taken.

Vote. And vote wisely. Good luck.

Wow. This is such a big moment. :o

Everyone remember this, it'll be big history when we're all 105 and telling this to the boxies.

You'll all be like: "Remember that Wednesday 80 years ago? Jops was still drawing Chibi style and the box was still made of cardboard. Cardboard, can you believe it?"
"I still can't believe we're called Doombees now. God that joke got old after a few years."

Oh, and I thought KomikSpace was supposed to be KomicSpace?
Well, no one's voting for that one...

Doombees is a serious option? Bloody hell...hopefully the poll is taken seriously... :)
Remember when your imagination was real? When the day seemed
longer than it was, and tomorrow was always another game away?

*twitches*

Would somebody care to explain to a person who just got pointed here by anohter KS member WHAT ON EARTH IS GOING ON?!

Why is KS changing domains? Why haven't we been formally informed? What will happen to our current domains? Why do I have to dig through the forum just to find any REFERENCE to it?

*tears out hair* >_<

I voted for Doombees. So, uh, if it's close or anything my vote should probably be disregarded since I'm not -actually- a spacer.

Seriously, though, I did like Toonspace. :P

I don't know why no one was informed, I guess it just wasn't organized. It crossed my mind to go out and tell everyone, but I don't know a lot of KeenSpace authors.
Someone really should send out an email to all of the addresses of the Spacers. A valid email address was part of the signing process, right? So there should be a way to mass email them, if they're part of a list or whatnot...

Gloria, it's pretty simple:

Since it was stated that the similarity of the Keenspot and Keenspace generated a confusion, the big guys deicded that keenspace is gonna change the name.
They offered us to choose between Webcomicspace and Toonspace, but, since most of us didn't like neither of them, we brought up our own suggestions and now we're voting to see which one we like most.

As for your domain, no worries, there will be a few months were both the new and the old domain will work toghether.
Just make sure to use that time to modify all the links you've around.

I can't decide between Doombees and Comicgenesis... How long is this going to be running anyway?
Warning: This poster regularly makes unintentionally sexual posts. Or at least "unintentional" is what she claims...

Well, posting on forum can't be considered formally informing really. Formal information should be the one for which you're certain that it'll reach most of the users. Newsgroup, for instance, since you're adviced to sign up for it upon getting an account, so it's assumed that most of 'spacers do that. Or main page of Keenspace.
Or a sorn of announcement. I remember there used to be a tag for that, or something like that.

Anyway, I see ComicGenesis is leading. I like that name.

This is fun! We should run one of those quirky political campaigns. If I didn't have a Physics test this Friday I'd whip up some sort of sharp logo with razor blades and such.

Is it too late to suggest moving this poll to the yahoo group so that people can vote for multiple options???
