Good Animation Program?

Post by RLC Davidson »

Does anyone know of a good animation program available on the 'net? I had some things planned for later on in my comic and didn't want to be stuck with the one that came with PSP. Any help would be appreciated.

I draw in PSP, and then export to that animation program that came with it.
But I don't do much animation.

I think Macromedia flash is DaThing when it comes to animation on the web.
You are the Non. You must go now, and never return."

"1.Scan in high res 2.tweak with curves, levels or something to clean up the scan (or use channel mixer to remove blue pencil lines) 3.Add colour using a layer set to multiply. 4.Add wordbubbles and text as vector shapes. 5. Merge all layers. 6.resize to the web size. 7. Export/Save for Web" that's all I know about webcomicking.

For animated GIFs, I'd suggest the GIF Construction Set available from download.com or other locations. It's shareware, and does just about whatever you need it to.

I do all of my animations through it. Examples:

I animate through gimp. Its actually pretty efficient since you stay within the program. I've used the gif contruction kit thing before, I think it worked pretty good, but not too sure, was probably back around 98 last I used it.

Yes, Director. It's the Flash for real professionals.

I heard the Adobe GoLive is good, too.

You can do gif animation in Premiere? Never knew that. I use premiere for DV editing, well, until my license for Premiere Pro ran out. Too lazy to reinstall 6.5 so I'm waiting until someone comes up with a crack.

I don't know if there's a good alternative to flash, 'specially on the net. Personally I've always used flash and I love it. ^_^

Just ignore the banner y'know. For some reason I ended up with the crappy old one up *twitches*
