Yeah, it's me theJames, after a long hiatus. I couldn't seem to use my theJames account so I made a new one.
Anyway so recently I tried to connect to the FTP server the way I used to do. It connects then it gets broken after a couple of seconds. Something tells me it's a server error on Keenspace's part. Or maybe I'm wrong, what do you folks think?
And while I was on hiatus I was supposed to put an "I'll be away for a couple of months due to a temporary case of neurosis" message on my index page. So I uploaded the html file with the message thing and I could already see it in my FTP panel. Then I go to SiteAdmin to update my page (I used ALL options) but nothing seems to work. The site still has my last update date before my the one I'm tellin' you. (It says July 16, 2003 on the top when my "on hiatus" message was sometime in September, url is http://pinoycity.keenspace.com)
Yeah, that should do it for now.[/url]
Yay I'm back!!! But I got me some questions.
get a new password for your old forum account.
(you need the access to the e-mail you used to sign up)
What ftp program are you using?
What error messages do you get?

You are the Non. You must go now, and never return."
"1.Scan in high res 2.tweak with curves, levels or something to clean up the scan (or use channel mixer to remove blue pencil lines) 3.Add colour using a layer set to multiply. 4.Add wordbubbles and text as vector shapes. 5. Merge all layers. 6.resize to the web size. 7. Export/Save for Web" that's all I know about webcomicking.

Get an old password? I've been waiting for that one for weeks. I was thinking that feature was already axed... or probably I wasn't persistent enough.
I use Flash FXP and the log goes something like this....
Connecting...
Connected!! pinoycity.keenspace.com IP ....[can't remember this part, just a bunch of numbers for IP]
Disconnected [this pops out a couple of seconds later]
Connection Failed

I can't ping pinocity.keenspace.com to even know what server it's on. I assume that either means you're new or you're so old your site got wiped during the last round of cleanup. I'm not sure the thread Kisai posted still exists but she listed all the sites that got wiped. If you're new, it means you're probably on YDK. Ftp to ydk.keenspot.com if you want to try out your password. Until you can actually see your site via DNS, nothing else is going to work.

Google maintains its own cache. It has a small percentage of the internet on its servers (granted, we're talking terabytes here). Showing up on Google or anywhere else doesn't always mean you exist.
It also makes a difference that I spelled the name wrong when I checked it. Please ignore my last post. I was checking pinocity. instead of pinoycity.
You're in the Guide. I can see your site. You are on YDK. I CAN ping the site.
Checkout Phalanx's YDK tutorial here:

and look at the third (also the fifth) question. It has a link to the lost password utility on siteadmintest.
