*deep breath*

You know, it's times like this I wonder why I even bother trying to help.
TAGS! Make sure that information on TAGS is readily available and very easy to get at, because if you've used HTML for as long as I have, TAGS make absolutely no sense whatsoever. Do you understand what I'm saying? Not everyone is going to get it right away.
Tell you what, why don't you make a 'readily available and very easy to get at' TAGS tutorial? I'm sure someone as HTML savvy as you could explain it better than we poor PERL-scripters, Java-programmers and HTML Codemonkeys can.

If you CAN produce one, I'll include in the FAQ, fully accredited to you of course. And you'll have all our thanks for actually contributing something to make Keenspace better.

Now you could sit around bitching, or you could simply accept the fact that we are just normal keenspacers who volunteer to help out, are not paid, and doing this out of the goodness of our hearts because Keenspace is short-handed and the only person struggling to keep it running is Kisai, who is underpaid and overworked as it is. It happens. You can either start helping out or stop complaining.

Pick one.

Oh, I get your point.

You're too lazy to read the FIRST POST in the FAQ thread, and you want all the information to magically appear in your head.

Yes, I know the first post is long, but you only need to read it once. And it has all the info about tags you might need. Including a link to new updated tag glossary.

No, reading other posts is not required, because Phalanx moves all the important info to the first post.

I assume you asked the weird question about autokeen because you ignored the 1st post, and autokeen was mentioned in the 5th.

And one more thing.
Of course, you can keep beeing angry, and keep DEMANDING somebody helped you. Good luck with that.

Or you could try and understand we're just people, and we have no freaking idea what is your problem.
You are the Non. You must go now, and never return."

"1.Scan in high res 2.tweak with curves, levels or something to clean up the scan (or use channel mixer to remove blue pencil lines) 3.Add colour using a layer set to multiply. 4.Add wordbubbles and text as vector shapes. 5. Merge all layers. 6.resize to the web size. 7. Export/Save for Web" that's all I know about webcomicking.

Oh, for crying out loud!! I did read the first post. And I did use the links and that's what it said in the FAQ. The actual step by step thing would have probably been a more useful link, really, but it is kind of confusing. The tag concept is a little too simple, and yet complicated in that it doesn't really seem like it should work. My knowledge is limited to HTML...which you know everything needs to be written out and linked together. With the FTP you just throw things into folders and its somehow supposed to work.
Maybe I should explain. I have a disorder called Aspergers. It's a high-functioning form of Autism. Aside from not having enough social skills to fill a thimble, it also kinda screws with my perception. Sort of like...the difference between giving a child a small, accurate pen to draw with, or a big thick crayon. A child doesn't have the motor skills to work with a pen well, but a crayon they can get a grip on, that's something different. So Tags are sort of like handing me a little bitty pen when I need a nice big crayon. You can explain it to me up, down, left, right, and sideways, and I'm still never really going to understand how it functions. I may be able to put it together, so logically I get it, but I don't really understand. It's sort of like having two peices of puzzle and you're dead positive they're supposed to go together, but they just won't for some reason. It's frustrating and confusing, and then my level of social ability tends to swing somewhere between 5-15. Since the autism killed off most of the brain cells meant for social development when I was really little, I have to do it all intellectually, and when I'm dealing with something else, I'm pretty poor at controlling it. So I am going to have some moments, and I apologize ahead of time for that. The best thing to do is just ignore it, because its not personal, its just a malfunction in my head.

Fair enough. A lot of things suddenly make a lot more sense now.

You really should have explained this in the beginning, it would have saved a lot of people being annoyed and yourself a bad reputation.

Hopefully, now that you got your site working, you shouldn't be having too many problems now.

But remember, if you want some information, ask nicely and it will be answered. Complaining is a No-no. And do listen to what other people's advice, because they mean it for the best and you'll benefit from what they have to say, even if you don't like it.

Also, being even slightly rude in this forum is an open invitation to get flamed, and believe me, you don't want to know what some of the more outspoken characters are capable of.

So anyway, Good luck with your webcomic.
