Forum...quick help needed :)

Post by Shianra »

Hey, I just applied for and got a forum. I think.

Buggered if I know how to actually make it turn up on my comic page though.

I'm sure it's something simple, like pasting a link into my ftp account or something. But...help? ^^'

Just include something like this:

Code: Select all

<a href="http://forums.keenspace.com/viewforum.php?f=836">My forum!</a>
In your indextemplate.html, for example next to the tagboard and the vote buttons.

If you require a step by step guide:
Open your site in ftp.
Download indextemplate.html from /workspace directory.
Open the downloaded file in notepad, and copy-paste the code in the right place.
Upload the modified indextemplate back to your site.
Run a regular update, or just the index page update from siteadmin.keenspace.com
You are the Non. You must go now, and never return."

"1.Scan in high res 2.tweak with curves, levels or something to clean up the scan (or use channel mixer to remove blue pencil lines) 3.Add colour using a layer set to multiply. 4.Add wordbubbles and text as vector shapes. 5. Merge all layers. 6.resize to the web size. 7. Export/Save for Web" that's all I know about webcomicking.

If you're still having trouble with basic HTML, I would recommend taking some time to peruse the tutorials listed here.

(By the way, your forum is listed under Space Comics I-P.)
