JPEG compression hurts my soul

I went crazy with the airbrush in Photoshop on this comic page, and it looked fantastic when I was working on it, but when I saved it as a JPG for uploading, it looked...somewhat less smooth, as you can see above...

Any advice? Please? ^^

Don't use the Shape tool. Use the Select tool in the top left; make an elliptical-shaped selection and fill it with color using the bucket. (You'll have to click a little arrow to get to the ellipse; the default is a rectangle shape.)

Done. And I uploaded a new random image to see if it would work (scribbled in paint and saved a JPG...and this is a different computer from where the first came from...)

And oh, good lord. It works. :/

I guess it must be a problem with the image...

Comparing the siteadmin stuff for another, working comic I have (I'm mostly just the artist for Keeper, I'm doing the other one on my own) shows some odd - to me - differences. If you mean on siteadmin where it says:

" PNG PNG raster image format
JPEG JPEG raster image format
GIF GIF raster image format
SWF SWF vector format
SVG SVG vector format "

JPEG is selected. If you meant something else, I have no idea. ^^;;

None of us have touched the template files. ;_;
