A DNS one creation tool of Kisai's malfunctioned. I've patched it and I'll try to get Nate to push a DNS update ASAP.

I've just had to reboot the server manually. Something's wrong. Once it's back up I'll restore web services ASAP.

Kisai has prelim-checked the DB and it looks to be good. I'm now back infront of my PC and can check things expressly.

Hi.

Again, for me, FTP's working fine, and Siteadmin's back up, but the updater's putting the page in the wrong place.
It ends up in the public_html/ folder instead of public_html/comics/, so all the other pages in public_html/comics/ don't show up archived.
Also, I've been having this problem since day one where my Next Day ghost image isn't showing up. Any idea what the problem there is?

From siteadmin:
[EDIT] Additionally, the siteadmin data got erased again. That is, everything like comic update time, comic description, and the banners got lost in the database somewhere. It would be nice if this could be restored, as it would save the trouble of recreating all the data. It would also save the guide from having three copies of each one of my banners. [/EDIT]
[EDIT2] For an example of how totally screwed up this makes sites become, just take a look at my comic. It should be evident pretty quickly that something's very wrong. [/EDIT2]
That is BAD. Those have been switched. Please fix that ASAP, cause that'll cause all sorts of problems, like the misplacement of comic files (again).siteadmin wrote:Comic Directory Comic Images (default '/comics'):

Thanks for solving most of my problems! I found some more!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for helping me with my comic crisis...but, here is the status so far...
I can update, I have ftp, I can log in...but, I can't add myself as artist.
I kind of solved the Ivan Brochu problem...I deleted his name as artist/author...but, when I went to add myself Elton Edgar...it said I need authorization and told me to go to the log in...which put me back on the previous screen. That is all I have left to do is to make me the artist/ author again. Oh, and one extreme minor problem as well...I can't change my alphabetic listing...it stays as "Makeshift Mimicry", but, that is little stuff I'm not worried about. Everything else is fine, thanks...I owe you fan art big time.

There is currently no way to add authors. The feature is not implemented yet.makeshift wrote:Thank you, thank you, thank you for helping me with my comic crisis...but, here is the status so far...

The Guide stuff should autoregenerate, but PM Kisai about the banners.-Fanny pack wrote:[EDIT] Additionally, the siteadmin data got erased again. Comic update time and description you should be able to edit. They're generated from the signup data, and if you modified it afterwards, it was lost.

I am now unable to login to Siteadmin using the password that was sent to me nor the password I switched it to. I keep getting the...
"If you are seeing this exact same page over and over, your browser is not sending the form correctly, please upgrade to a standards compliant browser or turn off software firewall/privacy software"
...message, but NO browser I use will log in. IE, Netscape, Mozilla, Safari, FireFox, Chimera, etc. Every one is the latest version, and are well within the specs listed on that page. The cookie test page works fine, the values change with each reload, and the "disable your firewall 'enhancments'" is something I cannot do since the firewall I use is my router. If there are port numbers I need to unblock please let me know, otherwise the firewall stays up.
FTP via gear.keenspace.com is also not working.
I won't be able to test out members.keenspace.com with my new password (since it takes awhile to update the database from what the password changer page said), but I tried to login with the password emailed to me and it couldn't log in either.

Okay, here's a weird one: Every time I get a "here is your password" thing in the mail it doesn't work so I have to go do the "request new password" and set it manually. That didn't bother me till yesterday the system sent me a weird message saying "here's your new password" after my old password stopped working. The password was a couple hundred characters long and, not surprisingly, didn't work. So I requested a new password and everything was working juuuust fine.
Then a few hours later I got another message saying "sorry for the last one, this one will work now" and another, more normal sized password that also didn't work. So I requested a new password and, here's where it gets weird, it sent me two "Password Change Request" messages, a minute or so apart.
Now when I go to check the status of my password it says that there are two accounts with my password. Neither of them work. I can't get in to FTP or to log into to SiteAdmin Control.
In the latter case it does one of three things: tells me that my password is incorrect, logs me in and only shows me a link to some uneditable site information, or gives me the "If you are seeing this exact same page over and over..." message.
I'm baffled.

My problem is more or less the same. I can log into siteadmin using the rereissued password that was sent (the shorter one, not the long one), but I only get the "Username Edit/View." I remember there being more on that page that one time I got into siteadmin before all of this happened...megabyte wrote:I can't log into ftp, siteadmin, or see my site. I was told that I shouldn't be able to see my site yet, being new. But I can't update or anything.
I can't log in to FTP or see my site, but that might be because I'm new.
EDIT: Checked status; this is what I got.
