keenbaka dropdown?!

Post by Sword Chan »

hohoho! Merry Chri...wait, we're not there yet! darn! If you have a comic which has a few random acts of baka-ness or if you consider yourself a humble baka (stupid or goofy person) then I invite you to join this dropdown.

I'll only be accepting the first 29---I might make an exception though, so you can still post away.

To join, please include the following:

1-name of your comic
2-url
3-description or comment of your comic
4-a 200x40 pixel banner which at least shows an example of what your drawing-style is like

and after that add the dropdown to your main page. If it's not on there you won't get added. Here's the code:

Code: Select all

<SCRIPT LANGUAGE="javascript" SRC="http://streak.keenspace.com/baka.js"></SCRIPT>
~~note: i did change the requirements. it's not just manga-influenced, anyone can join now. plus now the banner is required.

Name: Prilian Legends
URL: prilianlegends.keenspace.com
Description: When war threatens the last refuge of the peaceful, those who would defend that peace must awaken to their true power. Watch as Prilian Legends are born. Grayscale/sepia, updates twice a week.
Banner: Image

also, on a side note, you might consider, instead of not accepting any more than the first 29, doing something similar to KeenElven. They accept a number of comics, but have a random rotation system in place so that only ( I think) twelve appear in the dropdown menu at any given time. Plus the random rotation of banners at the top...

What is 'baka'? I tried looking it up using some various multilingual dictionaries and I didn't see anything.

In other words, what does Baka mean?

One definition.

(And I'm not plugging for a link; I couldn't do manga if my life depended on it.)
"gooey-duck". A clam. Not a snail.

You know, "baka" means "gran'ma" on serbian.
I could start a dropdown for all non-manga comics having old women in them.

1- Spirat Comics
2- http://spirat.keenspace.com
3- Two, soon to be three, featured comics. 1) Eye for an Eye, the story of a vengeful pirate who got her eye carved out, 2) Pluck a Pixy's Wings, which is randomness and idiocy from school and such...and the soon going to be featured comic is "Just Us and our Bishies" with special appearances by Jack Sparrow and Kenshin Himura...oh yeah..woo..and is a branch of Pluck a Pixy's Wings, stemmed from the roleplay sessions of me and my best friend...and thanks to her, filled with drama...(and thanks to me, filled with idiotic comedy, woo!)
4- ...still trying to get this thing to work... ^-^''

I code keenelven, you can get the code itself at http://theelven.com/keenelven/keenelven0.js (I think) for the banner rotating and list randomizing. I suggest not using the banner rotating unless you are really good at coding and stuff, but the list randomzing is great fun and keeps the list "short" per pageload.

Heya, I'd like to join ^^. I think my main character is more than enough of a moron to qualify.

1-DIVE
2-http://dive.keenspace.com
3-A small knot of college students (mostly bishounen) who can see ghosts, trying to graduate without getting themselves killed or their memories erased.
4-Image

And of course, the banner's already up on my site ^^.

Alright, you're on the dropdown :D

And currently I'm having problems accessing the banner/summary page. So hopefully that will get fixed soon and I'll add your other stuff there.
