NetherOak Welcomes You

Post by ZOMBIE USER 9264 »

Yee-Haw!
My wedcomic, NetherOak, has entered its fourth day and everything's running smoothly!

You're all invited to read it.

Please keep in mind that the first 7 comics were drawn in October and thus the artwork sucks. It will get better mind you but in the mean time, it just may be worth your time.
Expect the plot to show its face on the 4th on July...No, seriously.

NetherOak Studios. Oakville's flavour; starting now.

Real nice site design... except for the background color. :-?

The comic was quite interesting if I remember right. I think there was one punchline that I didn't get or something. I'll have to check it again (I was tryin to post a reply last time I logged in but my browser crashed).

Hah, thanks. Yeah, the background is supposed to be an almost navy blue but Radek has been too nusy with exams to fix it all; hence the non-functional char/info/etc sections.

The punchline you didn't get was undoubtedly the first episode, refering to 'bubble tea' (a japanese style pop-culture drink, very popular in Toronto). Don't worry; that was an inside joke, thought up during a delusional shift in my brief East Side Mario's career and drawn out before I ever intended to make a webcomic.

I strongly suggest you all try bubble tea, at least once. I won't use my standard analogy as it wiould probably turn you away in disgust. Just enjoy it. Be a conformist! Its what all of the Sheridan College art students are drinking! Yep, always sitting there in the black turtle-necks and spooky eyes that tell you they've been up all night, suffering, SUFFERING for their work!

...AND I'D DO ANYTHING TO BE ONE OF THEM!!!

In conclusion: read my comic - now with less-crappy artwork

Anyways, i like the comic.
So far the skate board ones were my faves, and I can see your art picking up more, too :D
but i don't see anything wrong with the wall paper... I kinda like it.

Funny comic, but the kid's right. The background is kinda "weird". But I shouldn't be talking. I don't have comics avalible and my background is black.
The best thing to happen to some people,is Resident Farmer. The best thing to happen to me is cel-shaded graphics and translated Japanese Anime. Whoo-hoo!

I told ya, man, the wallpaper's changing soon enough. Keep your pants on! Unless you're Jamie...

ANYway, Alls well that ends well; or; the ends justify the means. Either way, you all get to suffer with my ass background as long as I change it eventually. Woo-Hoo!

And you're wrong J-Buck; you SHOULD be talking. Studies have proven that talking is one of the premier forms of communication in the rapidly evolvling business world. I encourage everyone to talk. After all; your career just may depend on it!

What is wrong with the background?
Or did you change it now?
What's this bubble tea everybody is drinking?
Anyway, sometimes the speach is on the wrong side, so one would tend to read the wrong part first. Yeah, but maybe you noticed that.

The comic itself is alright. Not very much done, but it looks promising. Just don't get to crapping it up, like I did to my comic.

notSorry, Jamie. I totally didn't mean that like you think I did... :)

Anyhow Joe, yeah I did notice. When I first started drawign the strip I didn't put thought of the how's and where's of word bubbles when I was doing the art. It's a problem that will soon be rectified.
-Nothing's wrong with the background.
-No, I havn't changed it yet.
-I explained babblue tea a couple posts ago. Its a pop culture thing! And I havn't heard much of it outside of Toronto so unless you're from around here I don't think you will. Or not, whatever.
-Don't fret, a plotline is right around the corner.
-J-Walkin' is not crapped up.

P.L.U.R. boys, I'm off to get ready for prom!
