In search of the elusive Vanguard comic book font

I've been considering chaging the main typeface I use for my comic strip away from Blambot for a while, and have been looking at different options. Of course, I'm not going to buy one of those expensive comicraft fonts, but I have always been interested in the "Vanguard Comic Book font". You know, the one that's used in PVP, Real Life, Megatokyo, In2it online, and even a few Keenspace comics? It's bold, it's clean, and readable even at a small scale... all good qualities for a comic font.
However, after several hundered searches, I can't find the font for download anywhere, much less anywhere to BUY it. Since all these comics use the font, I know it has to be out there somewhere... Anyone have a link? I'm just currious about the price (I assume it's not for free... else I'm sure we'd ALL have the font). I'd consider buying the font only if it isn't incredibly overpriced.<P>------------------
