Jury Duty is over. We were a hung jury. It was kind of demoralizing to see our judicial system in action. We split along racial lines on a case that (I thought) was very open and shut.

However, the plus side is that I should be getting back to battles all but immediately.

Round 2 - Battle 19 - The Mighty Stone (1/0) vs. Oog (0/1)

{ABOL} And we're back!
{Net} Did we leave?
{ABOL} Well, that depends on if you believe that time is an actual dimension, or merely an emergent property of a universe devoid of temporal dimensions.
{Net} Say again?
{ABOL} And what a battle to come back to ladies, gentlemen, and other things! The Mighty Stone, winner in round one, battles against Oog, the barbarian! Both are physically adept and so the battle will come down to just how bloodthirty each opponent can become.

[A goblin cleverly disguised as a footstool, with a soft pillow strapped to his back, atop which The Mighty Stone rides, enters the arena. The Mighty Stone falls off the pillow. "Ssss... sorry master, nice master." The goblin supplicates, while reaffixing the sunglasses to The Mighty Stone. "nnn-o. No! Don't beat me master! I'm a good footstool!" the goblin whines pitifully before fleeing.]

[Oog, the half-orc Barbarian, saunters out of the arena doors next. Large club in hand, he roars and shakes his club at the audience.]

1 - Oog rears up with all his strength and smashes his club on The Mighty Stone. But he misses. The impact launces The Mighty Stone up and into Oog's face, smacking the barbarian in the nose for 4 damage!

2 - Oog yowls and covers his nose.

3 - Angrier than ever, Oog stomps on The Mighty Stone, dealing an impressive 6 damage.

4 - A milkshake, chock-full of creamy goodness, whizzes over the wall and hits Oog in the back. The cup splatters and covers Oog's back in a chocolate-like liquid. The crowd jeers. "Leave Alone The Mighty Stone!" they start to shout in singsong rhyme.

5 - More milkshakes are thrown. The crowd boos. Oog, incensed, picks up the only thing nearby - The Mighty Stone - and tosses it at the audience. The Mighty Stone rebounds, hitting Oog in the nose, again, for 2 damage.

6 - Screaming inhumanly, Oog stomps over and over on The Mighty Stone, delivering a still impressive 7 damage. The crowd continues to boo.

7 - Oog kicks The Mighty Stone, but all the stomping has caused it to sink deep into the ground. Oog stubs his toe for 4 damage and hollars insults so vile that several audience members shivel up and die on the spot. MixedMyth writes them down for later; her squirrel, reading over her shoulder, goes *paff* and turns to a cloud of fluff.

8 - Lewd and scantily dressed fangirls throw their bras at The Mighty Stone. Oog tries to grab The Mighty Stone but comes up with a fistful of multicolored underclothes instead.

9 - Tired and upset, Oog uses his club like a broom and hits the bras and The Mighty Stone (causing 2 damage). The Mighty Stone ends up rolling to a stop a few feet away.

10 - Oog stumbles forward to attack again, but trips and lands nose first... on The Mighty Stone (taking 6 damage). Oog isn't dead, but he's too tired to battle.

The crowd stands and starts to go wild as...

The Winner: The Mighty Stone. The Mighty Stone glows, is healed, and gains a stat point. The goblin from earlier is led out by an ogre antique furniture dealer. The Mighty Stone is lifted atop the goblin footstool, and is then led out of the arena to much fanfare.

The Loser: Oog. Oog is left out in the arena until he manages to stand on his own and stagger to the door. Then, four ogres greet Oog, smacking him heartily on the back and feeding him good beer. Oog's spirits perk up measurably and he's healed.
