I keep mis-remembering the goal as 10,000 words, not 50,000 words. Ah well, still worth a try, 1,530 words so far. I'll just keep typing even if whatever happens to pop out of my head doesn't seem quite perfect.

I doubt I'll ever start on this thing. I'm just far too busy it seems :(

I planned on working on it tonight but I have an exam at 8am. Ugh. I might have to lug around some spare notebooks and start on paper.

Way behind. Way way behind. I'm just not feeling the drive this year . . . I can still make it up, of course, but we'll see if I manage to buckle down that long.

Stupid working full time.

Behind by about 7000 words, gotta get crackin'. At least I'm making much more progress than previous years.

I'll try and use this as a motivator to churn out more work on the Laemkral stories, but I might also just keep working on my other writing project which isn't put on the net. I'll keep a tally on how many words I write in the month, see what I knock out.

SarahJanet is a good motivator... she's SCARY... that's one of our MLs... I dunno, actually. Previously my best day had been around 16k.

However, it's not like I do that EVERY day. It was a one day shot. I'll probably do a few more huge ones but I just like getting a good starting shot. I'm currently at 32k (was away a couple days) so I'm gonna need to do some severe catching up.

...Yeah, I'm shooting a bit higher than 50k here.

i've fallen about 500 words behind, but I'm still doing okay, didn't get much writing done this weekend, nor will I next but I'll have time this week to make that up, hopefully, not to mention get all of next weeks comics done.

Maybe this will help some people out. It's a web applet I found that punishes you for not writing. You set a time limit, and if you stop writing, after an adjustable grace period it will do something (another setting): give you a gentle reminder, make an unpleasant noise, or (for those who really need motivation) it will actually unwrite what you've written.

Save your work by copy/paste to somewhere else.

In my first day of writing I've done 3551 words. Might keep writing more tonight, not sure. No way I'm gonna hit 50,000. Even 10,000 is a stretch since I doubt I'll get too many nights like this. But on the plus side, I've put up two new parts to the Laemkral story, and feel like I hit a chapter end for my other story. Which kinda means I'm at a loss for what the hell happens next in both stories.

no matter what happens at least i did better than last year, i've gotten over 26,000 words so far, and only had between 21,000 and 22,000 last year, i'm confident i might actually make the goal this year.

I got completely derailed this year, stuck on 5k words. it's really just a matter of me opening it up but I feel like I've already lost since I'm so behind. But all I really have to do is write 3k words a day... easily doable.

I started, and then I stopped, and then I started again, and then I stopped again. I hope to start again.

Here is a link to my profile, because why not. Question mark.
