My family displays a healthy lack of interest in my online endeavours, which is fine with me.

My family adds me on facebook and stuff. Since not all the stuff on my facebook is, you know, 100% family friendly, I castrate what they can see on my account. Basically, just that, they can see it, but no pictures or what people post or whatever XD

And they're all blocked on msn too.

Yeah, I have a sister. She's all into the webcomic thing or something. We hardly ever speak, so I doubt she even knows I draw one. Pfft, whatever.

(Actually, I'm pretty sure she's the only person I know who does read my comic, and I see her all the time. Comic Genesis- bringing together non-estranged families.)

Your sister sounds like a total bitch.

My mom can't even use a mouse. I get headaches trying to explain what the internet is to her.

My mom can use a mouse...but it took her years to understand that she could check her email from other computers, and not just the one in the guest room of her house.

My Dad likes to keep on top of what I'm doing with my comics. He gets all excited when I tell him about conventions I'm going to (the one year I had a table, he and my uncle tried to come to see me, but got confused at the masses of cosplayers and ended up leaving again, lol).
My Mom's got a two-year-old so she isn't online much, but we're trying to talk her into joining facebook. XD

My dad said he saw me on the news once when I was at Anthocon. That was awesome.

1) Collect underpants.
2) Sell fish online.
3) Profit.

. . . yah, okay, that works.

he raises carp and talapia, and raises far more than he and mom and our guests could eat alone, so he's been trying to find a way to sell them to people for food, or to restaurants, but hasn't had much success.

Well, considering your SciFi themed comic, selling them as Babel-fish would seem most appropriate.
