Ever "changed" your strip?

Ever "changed" your strip?

Post by Charlesbrubaker »

Since my strip was picked up for syndication by Creative Comix, I've been thinking of changing the "web-only" version to an editorial web-cartoon, where we see elephants and donkeys in suits, and all, while the newspaper version used the "old version " of the theme.

So, anyone ever did the similar thing? Where you drastically changed the theme of your webcomic for some odd reason? Cause I'm kinda curious about it.

Ciao,
Chuck.

Nope. Mine just got better. Well, that's what most people tell me.

If I ever try to put it in print, it's not a newspapery kind of thing anayway so censoring stuff won't be an issue. But I'd probably try and redraw it, and maybe change a few comments that I think were too topical so it'll have more longevity.

My comic is always changing. It seems to be heading into more story-driven plotlines these days.

My comic took a huge overhaul when I decided to turn it from a cut and paste gag strip into a poorly drawn story strip. I kinda miss doing cut and paste strips especially when I'm waking up early on a monday to draw a strip that should have been posted Friday but someone spent 3 days moving because someone who was supposed to help move decided to cancel and not even call to tell us.

Yes.

Actually, my gramma doesn't have a cat :(

I lied about my gramma having a cat.

So Blackaby is the only one who likes it then =/

I'm redrawing everything for the print versions, and adding stuff in that I wanted to have in the webcomic but couldn't because of time and space issues.
My first "chapter" is 16 strips long online.
In print, it's almost twice that, I think. But much better for it.

Don't know if anyone's noted this before, but I just realized that Brubaker's avatar could either be a female cat, or a hunch-back bird! I can't stop seeing the bird now! :o
