It started way back after (what movie was that in? With Sean Connory and that Kid... the Good Will Hunting kind of knockoff, only with a black kid so it was more socially revelent one?)

At any rate, somepoint during that movie, Connory says "Well, you're the man now, dawg".

And someone made a website with a pic from the movie of tha scene that just kept repeating "You're the Man Now Dawg" over and over....

It has since evolved into a whole web-community where they take that concept (looping soundclip over stupid pic, sometimes animated) and run with it..
