Men Vs. Women

No, it's not a wrestling match.

I'm wondering how many women versus men are either member of this forum or run webcomics.

I realize there's the Girlamatics site out there, but I hate having restrictions on comics. I don't like having to join some site or ring just to see the comics.

The Webalizer logs doesn't log gender, which would be impossible, but I'm realizing that my comic might have more of a female audience rather than male.

It would be interesting too, since I see there are little competitions out there for artists, to start one in this arena, but maybe we're better off just taking our comics for face value rather than imposing a gender slant on it. Hm, have to think about that.

And for the record, I'm happily married and not looking, in case someone in the back of their mind thinks, "yeah, he's just looking for a date." You know you were thinking it.

So chime in and maybe we can figure out what the ratio is.

Also for the record, I'm male, wait, . . . yes, male.

Female here.

Comixpedia did an article about women and webcomics once. In one article, they tried to assess the male and female ratio at certain places. But these kinds of things are a bit difficult.

And, frankly, I think it's silly to worry about whether your audience is male or female. But then, that might be because I KNOW mine is primarily female.

I'm male, in case anyone here hasn't already figured it out.

I think it'll be roughly equal. If there's any field in which men and women are equally represented, it's story telling and art. Those are human traits, not male ones or female ones.
