Katrina Webcomic Telethon

Post by Christwriter »

Apparently, you make something and you send it in to get people to go to the site and pay money. Everything made during the telethon will be sent to the Red Cross. I think it sounds like a good idea.

Coloring tutorial It's a little like coloring boot camp. Without the boots.

I think this is a really good idea. I'm gonna see if I can get NJ and Alex to do some comics for this.

Every little bit helps. Hopefully they can raise a fair amount.

I've seen this floating around on more than one board already, so I have a feeling that Brad and the Blank Label gang are going to have their hands full of web comics donations.

Hey, here's an idea, how about printing a book of these and selling them for donations? Maybe a printer would even donate the printing.

That's a good idea. Suggest it to Brad et al. instead of us.

Seeing as I don't have the rabid fanbase to contribute to an auction, I may contribute to a book if the opportunity arises.

I signed up but am now racking my brain deciding what exactly to do. I had some ideas but I'm not sure on second thought if they're workable.

Ah well. It'll sort itself out.

It's stuff like this that almost makes me go back to doing a webcomic.

I'm starting to have second thoughts about contributing after just hearing about Red Cross' tendency to hoard donation money during disasters like this one.

Rock and I are having a hard time coming up with something effective and appropriate for it, without getting into too big of a argument over it lol. I was wondering if anybody has made any yet and if there was a way to see some examples of finished ones?

Woah. I like that idea. Hopefully I'll have enough confidence to actually give it a shot.
