Awkward Stage
It was made by someone I knew who was also making OHR games, then it was CRFH and 8-bit.

The first comic I ever came across online was this World of Darkness based comic called Neon Umbra (no idea what happened to it now). From there I believe I found a link to Goats (which is still a favorite of mine) and from there found my way to places like Penny Arcade and Sluggy.
NJ is also Orion's fiance of sexy passion with the love of a thousand sea monkeys

But if we count it as a webcomic, Red Meat was the first. Goats and Penny Arcade are next, after being shown to me by friends.
Have you ever had the urge to strip naked and stare through his windows? With a kinda bug-eyed expression?

Or leave milk bottles filled with exciting goop on his doorstep?

That's probably just me, isn't it.
They got him to speak at the graduation ceremony for my high school (two years after I had already graduated grumble grumble) and by all accounts he was terribly boring in real life.

I... I chose not to believe that, myself.

On topic, whether it still is or not:

Sabrina Online was my first webcomic. Yep.

I think it must have been EOI.

There was this other peculiar webcomic before that though, based on an actual IRC chatroom. I don't remember what it was called though. It had this cat in it that kicked people and said 'NEVER BREAK THE CHAIN' at some point. That's all I remember.
Bye.

My first was probably either Irritability or Megatokyo. I wonder if I would've started reading them, if I knew then that I'd end up spending so much of my life comicking as a result of discovering that particular branch of nerd-hood?

Pokey... so bad... so very bad. Then Spiderman, which was animated. Yay! The panels were, I mean. Giffy.

At some point PA, at some point Sluggy Freelance, at some point KeenSpace (yay 2pov!).

C'mon, guys, Pokey is GREAT. Every time I see the word HOORAY with a line through it I crack a smile.

I'm almost certain that the first webcomic I ever read was User Friendly. But Sabrina Online and Kevin & Kell are also possibilities.

Some now defunct webcomics hosted by Gamespy.

After reading them, I realised I enjoyed reading comics about gaming more than just gaming.
So I set out to find more comics, and eventually I found Keenspace.
