Erm, Joel already designed a new logo ages ago, and we all (mostly) agreed it was great.Toxic wrote:What are we to do with the lovely Keenspace logo? Unless they spelled it "KomicGen" in the logo. The whole Linkin Park thing of replacing C's with K's is so passe though.
Thank god this is over. I think I was beginning to have nightmares about this thing never getting done and stretching on for another year...

... Oy Vey
Wonderful. I just think I figured out why the images won't appear on my website and now I check out my site on comicgen and find out that even MORE images are strangely invisible there! Oy vey, why couldn't they just leave well enough alone?

Re: ... Oy Vey
Honey, I could go into a very long and thorough discussion to answer that question, but I think that everyone here knows the answer by heart by now.obeydrx wrote:Wonderful. Also, run a full update.

Indeed. It was really more of a rhetorical question than anything. But thanks, anyway!Phalanx wrote:Honey, I could go into a very long and thorough discussion to answer that question, but I think that everyone here knows the answer by heart by now.obeydrx wrote:Wonderful. I know. I'm not gonna refute the new name anymore but I'd really like to know how to change everything. I rather do it now than later...prettysenshi2k6 wrote:Honestly, I don't mind the name change at all. Keenspace. ComicGen. Both names are okay. I think that main reason that we initially had a prob with the name change was b/c we were so used to the name that we already had. Give the new name a few weeks, maybe months, and I'm sure that we'll get used to it, and maybe even grow to like it more than Keenspace.

I'm fine with that address.![]()
The ONLY thing that I'm not sure about is whether I have to go back and edit every main link on my website to change the links to my webcomic's webpages. Unless the links and stuff will be changed automatically....
Does anyone knows how that's gonna be worked out? Cuz I'd like to know as soon as possible while I have time.

Strange that people are suggesting other people stop complaining due to being sick of it, or just not liking complainers, or the names of the service.
You know, what with free speech and all...
...but more importantly, how it was COMPLAINING that saved us from the horrible horrible fate that was ToonSpace. I feel ComicGen is infinitely better than ToonSpace, but if someone wants to complain about losing the Keenspace name, hell, I say let 'em and support 'em. Sick of reading it? Then don't read it. Just don't tell me not to post something because you don't care to read it. That's just silly.
So what exactly do I have to do? Change that one little line in my daily and index templates?
Man, I hope they get http://www.elvenbaath.com to work soon. I'd love to have it so anyone who links me can just use that.
But yeah, that was quite the tangent...
FREE SPEECH FOR THE DUMB! FREE SPEECH FREE SPEECH FOR THE DUMB FREE SPEECH FOR THE DUMB FREE FUCKING SPEEEEEEEECH!

Caught in the headlamp glare of your own blinding vanity/Mesmerised by the stare of your shallow personality
Gorging the junk food of flattery you drag your fat ego around/Everyone floored by the battering you give to whoever's around
Oh Narcissus you petulant child admiring yourself in the curve of my eyes/Oh Narcissus you angel beguiled unsated by self you do nothing but die

Well at least we know what it's gonna be now.
And honestly, it's not all that bad. I just like KeenSpace because, well, that's the name I'm used to. But it's probably going to take me only a day to get used to a new name. I don't really care.
It could've been worse.
I agree that we shouldn't have to stop complaining! Complaining gets results! It's complaining that saved us from ToonSpace, right?

Want to know an easy way? I'm assuming you still have your whole site up on your home pc somewhere.. if not, just log into your FTP of choice and download it all to your computer first.Nicotine wrote:I know. Then, download Notetab Light and run it. It has a multiple-open feature that I LURVE... open all your HTML pages at once.
Then, do a find/replace for keenspace and replace it with the term comicgenesis. Click the box under the small box marked "Scope" for "All documents" and you'll replace *EVERY SINGLE OCCURRANCE* of keenspace with the new word.
Then, simply Save all and reupload them en masse to your site and do a full site update. Done.
Edit: Just for example, I went ahead and did it for my site. 484 occurrances of keenspace, replaced in about 2 seconds with the new URL. See? Piece of cake.

That's great. That helped me alot. However, once we do that, what next? The address is still http://arcadia.keenspace.com. Do I have to like go to my control panel and edit the address, cuz there's a list of subdomains or something.netpoet wrote:Want to know an easy way?
