What do you do when your bored at work

Your at work, you've got an internet connection, but you can't go to any of the really good sites becuase they'd get you fired, what DO you do when your at work and bored stiff with nothing to do?

Besides make threads about what to do when bored at work...

I used to sleep with my boss...

still had to damn well work though... but at least I got laid...

I woulda slept with the clients but I worked at a school....

In my office I have a whole storeroom full of kid's toys and games next door. But playing candlyland against yourself gets boring after awhile...

I'm the network admin where I work, so no one monitors my online activities but me. Damn convienent.

After I've exhausted Something Awful, Fark, my daily webcomics, Boing Boing, BBC News International, played my NationStates and Kingdom of Loathing turns, and commented on all the livejournal posts - it's usually time for lunch.

After lunch, I may do some actual work, check Fark and LJ again, consider risking lowbrow.com, play some Typing of the Dead, mess with Photoshop, do a little more actual work, do some crossword puzzles, write some erotic fiction, look at things under the microscope, browse Ebay for tentacles and Futurama collectibles, do one last bit of actual work, then play Typing of the Dead until it's time to leave.

All the while chatting on four IRC channels and checking email every 4 minutes - I usually get a number of links from there.

Sometimes, I crochet or tat. Or read a book. Or when I'm feeling particularly brave, watch movies with my headphones on.

And yet, for some reason, I feel like posting on non-entomological forums and surfing online personals is something not to be done at work. Go figure on that one.

seing as i am unemployed...

ok i have to sepnd 2 hours each day at the unemployment office thingie. but me and a friend usually hit the town instead

no computers at work, but during the downtime too short to do something useful with between classe,s i usually wander to the labs and catch up on webcomics

is there no end to your good fortune? Oh how you are envied and you probobly don't even know it.... limitless bandwidth and processing power? and a internet ripe for the picking with every sort of media-transferable joy one could think of. And the tenticles, oh the tenticles...

The only problem is my desk in the in the middle of the floor, with three half height cube walls around it, meaning that my monitor can been seen with easy from just about any location in the office.

Sounds like me. Hell, I'm at work RIGHT NOW. There are VERY few sites that I don't risk going to at work (Stileproject, LewdArt, Sexy Losers).

The only one in my department who got in trouble for on-line use was someone who got 1.2 gb of chat traffic in a shift (no fucking clue how)

I do that waaay too much at school... well I did in high school that is. I would go on Deviantart and Livejournal and forums and comics... just not the NC 17 rated ones. though I went on those sometimes too.
