Had a GREAT time in DC!

Post by Fallenangelscomix »

Just wanted to drop by with a quick post to say that my wife and I had a great time with the group in DC Saturday. Sorry we had to dip out so unexpectedly, but we had to go meet my sister to pick up our son at Metro Center. Thanx for the wonderful time everyone and I hope we get together again.

This is probably the kind of thing better communicated through chat or PMs...

I have returned safely, and would like to say it was cool to meet you all. Plenty of lessons learned if something like this were to happen again. And I'm sorry I didn't get to talk with some of you a little more, but hey, it happens, I guess.

A quick recap, for those curious:

After waiting around for plenty of time for people to show up, we had the usual introductions and small talk. Our group was StrRedWolf, Isukiyomi, Pillywiggin, Milla, T Campbell, Phil Kahn, fallenangels and his wife, and me and my girlfriend. Stopped by the food court for those who hadn't eaten for a while. We were thinking about going to the International Spy Museum, but since they charge money for entry, we settled for the Museum of Natural History. Lost fallenangels and wife to the dinosaurs (sorry about that! but if you had to be elsewhere then I don't feel quite so bad), and Phil, T Campbell and Milla had to go their own ways. Had a little time to kill, so we ventured to the Holocaust Memorial Museum (my girlfriend wanted to see it) for a quick visit, then returned to Union Station to see The Fantastic Four. The end. Pictures hopefully forthcoming.

Looking back at it, I really wish we'd gone to the zoo. A panda cub was born there Saturday for the first time in 16 years.

Not that we would've seen anything, but it would have made an interesting conversation piece. :roll:

Heh. It figures Erin and I went to the zoo the day before the birth, and only learned about it watching the news that night.

We did get to see the five cheetah cubs, though. :)

Yeah, the zoo would have been cool. That's where our son was while we were hanging out. ( The little stinker got to see the new panda cub.)

Okakie doakie, these are the pictures that came out the best ^_^ I should really stop fiddling with my camera's buttons ^^;;

From left to right it's Phil Kahn & T.Campbell near one of the dinosaur exhibits.

From left to right it's Phil Kahn, STrRedWolf, Tim & his gal Erin. We're taking a quick break at the Natural History Museum which was crammed full of people. At this point we had lost track of fallenangelscomix and his wife ^^;;

From left to right Tim and STrRedWolf. We're all tuckered out as we head back to Union Station via the Metro to watch the Fantastic Four. We made it just in time too ^__^

Where's Isukiyomi? Why is she depriving us of her hotness? :cry:

Hey gang, I finally got this junk working. I'm doing a full super-report for Comixpedia, and would benefit greatly from all of your pictures.

Please e-mail them to me at phil@biscuitpress.com

C'mon, it'll be awesome :D
