The KeenSpace Invasion of Washington DC (part 2)

Post by STrRedWolf »

Folks, nature may be against us. The remants of Tropical Storm Cindy may be hitting DC durring the weekend. I'm tracking the local weather, see if we'll be wet or not. I'm *hoping* that it'll clear out by then, but still...

Watch this space for updates.

According to the Weather Channel, we'll be in the clear in DC.

Do note that security has been heightened in DC's transit systems, so please have some form of ID with you. I cannot vouch for you -- I just don't want to be shot. :)

I'm refusing to believe anything that the weather people are saying ever since that freak storm earlier this week when they were only predicting a 20% chance of precipitation. :x

I'll just post a bitter little note here to point out how deeply jealous I am of your guys, tropical-storms-and-security or not. Damn you all.
Warning: This poster regularly makes unintentionally sexual posts. Or at least "unintentional" is what she claims...

Meet around 10:45am or 11am by Gate A (The MARC exit, closest to SBarro's) inside Union Station. I belive I can get there by 10:45am using Mass Transit from BWI.

Blackfeather on the Maryland Furs list also said:
Hello all,

Well, since I've not seen anyone else post more, I've
come up with two ideas, both are to meet on Saturday
in Union Station, so that Kelly and the Keenspace
folks can join in.

I'd suggest meeting for lunch at 12.30, and then about
2ish or so, head down to see the new museum on the
Mall, the National Museum of the American Indian. The
Museum's web site is http://www.nmai.si.edu/

Another possibility if folks are really not into the
museum would be to catch a movie.

http://www.imdb.com/showtimes/location/ ... 2005-07-09
has the show times for AMC Union Station. Tickets are
$8.50 (youch! But if you are a AAA member you can get
them cheaper, I think. The web page for ticket
information was timing out so I can't pull it up).

So what do you think? I'd like some RSVPs at least,
so I know if anyone else is interested.

K. I can totally see myself getting lost in Union Station :b (But I'll find you guys somehow :b)

Anyways...I think lunch is the best plan, cause then we can just chill and chat. To start with anyway...I won't be there for much longer than the start

Well, my wife and I will be there in the morning after we drop our kid off at my sister's house. I should be there around 10:45 am or 11 am.
Looking forward to seeing everyone.
