It's ok, Steve. Actually, you were right, and I put your comments made earlier in the thread into the consideration. Thank you for taking time to edit my images to show me examplary and visually, through examples, what I've been doing wrond. It is vary helpful. In fact, every critique should be received with good measure.McDuffies, I'm sorry I made those comments about your art. You have a very cool, very unique style.
Remember, kids, not every critique is ill-intended and you should not always diss people for saying them, because if you don't accept some of useful comments that are offered to you, you will never advance in your artistic style. That is, of course, if those comments aren't obviously malicious, like the ones I was telling earlier in the thread. I assumed that all pointy hair is wrong, which was a wrong, and too narrow-minded statement to make. Such statements are called generalizations.
You should avoid making generalizations, becuase they are usually very subjective and based on one-man's opinions and tastes. And even if they are not, they are not aware of the excaptions; There are exceptions everywhere, in every field of human activity. If we use such statements as "All...", "Every one", "Always...", "Never...", we are not doing justuce to those rare, but nevertheless preciouss (perhaps exactly because they are so rare) exceptions.
For instance, even if I was right about the statement that pointy hair is a sign of an artist who puts less skills or effort in his drawing (which is, to clarify, not the case: I was definitely not right), I wouldn't have right to say it that way, because there are certainly artists who draw pointy hair because it's their artistic preferations; Because, simply, they like how pointy hair looks; Also, because it's more convenient for colouring. Such artists had all right to be insulted by my previous claims (that I retract) that all artists with pointy hair are less skilled or lazy.
Also, if you already insult somebody, the least you should do is sincerely apologuise to them (which I'm doing now); Words that are spoken cannot be erased, but the least you should do is have them knowing that your words were said in a state of mind that is not your usual. This doesn't make up for the said words, but it's the least a good person could do. The only possible kind of retribution.
I'm sorry to me too, because I've been spending all this time loving this thread too much to do much elsemcDuffies wrote:
To M^2, for wasting your time on pointless arguement with me, about as pointless subject as pointy hair is. I also apologuise to everyone because M^2 might've used this time to draw sexy girls.
And now to officially take this thread COMPLETELY OFF TOPIC!
