Glad to see you not get too down on that. =]Banana wrote:Dammit. Okay, I'll make sure it's not like that."Me and My Friends Make Inside Jokes You Won't Think Are Funny"
Thanks for your constructive ideas![]()
I'll start on it, I'm sure something will come up...
If you want help with art we got you covered. If you need help presenting a plot, we can help. We can help you with a lot of things if you ask for it (and in the appropriate forum). Unfortuantely ideas or titles we're not so great at, those usually have to come from yourself.
However as mocking as my title is, if you do do a comic about you and your friends just enjoy yourself doing it, that's the most important part is being happy with your own work.
However if you want to be really original and different or on the surface unique then a new topic choice might be worth mulling over. Good luck no matter what you do though.

Re: My comic idea - I need a title
My idea is stop stealing my comic idea... O_oBanana wrote:I'm basically writing a comic about me and my two friends. We'll be superheroes and will fight villians who are people we know in real life, you know, every day stuff. Anyhoo, I need a title. Preferably funny.
Does anyone have any ideas or actual titles?
Edit: Although it's eye-opening to see the reactions that people have to an idea pitch that's pretty much the premise for my comic...

Here's a winning formula for a name, but only if the comic has ninjas. First you must add ninjas. Next, choose a word that is a synonym for the colors purple, red, green, or blue. Vermillion is a good one. Next choose an animal that is considered noble, dangerous, silent, deadly, whatever. Bonus points for alliteration. Alternatively, you can use a synonym for "mystery", or a weather formation. Examples:
Vermillion Viper
Indigo Enigma
Seafoam Serpent
Crimson Panther
Purple Hail
Veridian Mists
If you don't like that formula, here's another one. First take a mystical/religious word. Next take a satanic and/or violent word. ??? Profit.
Soul Sacrifice
Damnation of the Cross
Saintly Sinner
Hellbound Angel
Holy Fire
Heavenly Fire
etc.
That usually only works for comics about vampires, werewolves, priests, angels, demons (etc.) or people struggling with internal conflicts. There's usually also lots of rain and angst.
However, for a true blue superhero comic, what you want to do is take the name of your superhero and name your comic after it. Alternatively, take a phrase/icon/concept popular in modern culture that indicates the meting out of justice or tough situations and name your comic after it, or a portion of it.
The Green Avenger (hehe)
Cold Servings (hehehe)
Blind Justice
Fists of Fury (isn't that a kung fu movie?)
Balanced Scales
True Blue (if your main character's color scheme is blue)
Envy (if your main character's color scheme is green)
Fiery Passion (or other mood words in that vein if your main character's color scheme is red)
Banana Man (if your main character's color scheme is yellow)
Or, you know, you could just think about your comic for a bit and choose a name that seems to fit the mood. *shrug* Whatever floats your boat.
