Japan, learned this in Marketing class.
Yes, sir. I agree completely. It takes a well-balanced individual... such as yourself to rule the world. No, sir. No one knows that you were the third one... Solidus. ...What should I do about the woman? Yes sir. I'll keep her under surveillance. Yes. Thank you. Good-bye...... Mr. President.

I'd rather have calamari and maize pizza myself

My daughter goes to college in Japan and she says the kids eat tentacles on sticks like kids here eat lolipops.

I'm back!

For strange culinary experiences, I recommend the "ice cream museum", Namjatown, Sunshine City, in Tokyo. My husband and I shared the experience of raw-horsemeat ice cream, there. Other than that, he stuck to the alcoholic ice creams -- red wine ice cream, dark beer ice cream, sake ice cream and vodka ice cream. Yes, they were alcoholic, too. For myself, I was a bit more adventurous; I had wheat ice cream (a surprisingly delicate, refreshing flavor), goat ice cream (with, yes, goat meat...it actually didn't taste like much at all), and one of the many, many varieties of seaweed ice cream on offer. I was too full to try the bamboo/chicken/abalone/calamari/octopus/shark etc. etc.

The Japanese are a very strange and occasionally disturbing people....

I am rather sorry to have missed the political discussion which started this thread. I'm not in the habit of reviving topics that far past, though...but if there is politics going on actively anywhere else, someone point me at it, will you?

Thanks....heh, I had a cat called "Pretty Kitty" once. I miss her.

May I just say, I am profoundly relieved to be back in one piece. And I am never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever going to fly through Chicago ever again.

Should the need ever arise, you could just post me. I'm allways fresh on a discussion :)
