This sort of thing is happening a lot now. dataDyne's website (for Perfect Dark) was rather excellent as well.

For those who saw "Rose" Umm yeah anyway Rose uses a nice search engen.

Now use it and it will give up a list of domane names for fake BBC websites as well as information on the company responsable for creating and maintaining those websites.

It was funny enough to justify an entry in my LJ about it...

Anywho WB was doing this with Smallvile. They'd flash the web url on TV and if you looked it up you'd get the smallvile newspaper or what ever the website was. It's something extra for the fans.
I don't watch Smalvile just saw something on that a while back.

SO the BBC is basicly doing the same.
Watch http://search-wise.net/ for more urls to pop up before they show up in Dr Who :)

Edit: Grrr BBC is getting tricky... Unit isn't on Search Wise...
