Trends are starting to scare me

Post by Toxic »

Blah? [Possibly disturbing image]

Eww... That's over the limit of things that are cool to get pierced.

I guess if you're falling apart, this'll keep you together.

AIieee...
it's kinda sexy...
but bizzare.
reading a bit more about it, apparently it's meant to be temporary, just for like one night (a formal dance?)
some people try leaving them in though, and that's where problems arise.

I think that might actually be one of the leading causes of falling apart.

I don't see why it's cool to get anything pierced.

There's a character in Wet Moon (comic) who has piercings like that.
It's interesting.

If you think that that was disturbing then you obviously have never flipped through some of the photos of the more interesting places people occasionally pierce themselves.

Hoops? Feh! In my day, we used rivets!

What's next? Shoe laces up the feet?

You know society is getting bored when these things start popping up. :o
Personally, I only have my ears pierced. Thought about navel or tongue piercing, but I'd probably tear it out by accident, tree climbing or eating something. I've gotten my earrings caught on a skipping rope once. That was painful.
Both my brothers have their noses pierced, and one brother had the top of his ear pierced once (got in a fight and someone ripped it out - that was ugly).

That's about the extent of piercings that I might possibly be interested in. Ears, nose, maybe tongue or navel.

But come on... eyelid?!@#$! Ouch. Just... ouch. I'd jump and go blind. Yikes.
And as for the back piercings...
I sometimes wonder how people think of these things.

Ignorance is bliss.

...

The things I would get pierced: eyebrow, earlobe, lip, and possibly nipples.

I have my left lobe and my right cartilage pierced. I never have one in my left lobe anymore though, but I still occasionally use on in the right cartilage. Nothing else is getting pierced though.

Heh, someone should get grommets attached to their feet and add shoelaces. Then tatoo them like Chuck Taylors.

wouldn't getting your eyelid peirced scratch your eye? I'd look at the picture, but I don't think I really want to.

the back piercing is originally designed for suspension. the corrsette and other alterations of the back piercings came from people who liked the suspension loops and wanted to do more.

*has wanted to do suspension for a very long time*
