I'm Going to Panama!

Post by Spriteville, USA »

Yup, that about sums it up. Tomorrow I'll be hoping onto a plane for 7 hours and heading to Panama for 4 days. For free no less. I guess the company I work for did really well the recently completed business year, so the whole company is being carted to Panama for free.

I'll take plenty of pictures and post them here. Which after four days I'm sure will still be an active thread while all you guys mourne my seperation.

So yeah, have fun in your ho-hum boring lives while I live it up in an exotic locale! Woo!

I think there was a song about The Panama Canal in "Animaniacs" once. I can't remember.

Have fun!

Unless of course you end up making a webcomic as a result.

Jump back, what's that sound?
Here she comes, full blast and top down
Hot shoe, burnin' down the avenue
Model citizen, zero discipline

Don't ya know she's coming home with me
You'll lose her in that turn
I'll get her!

Panama, Panama
Panama, Panama

Ain't nothin' like it, her shiny machine
Got the feel for the wheel, keep the movin' parts clean
Hot shoe, burnin' down the avenue
Got an on-ramp comin' through my bedroom

Don't you know she's coming home with me
You'll lose her in that turn
I'll get her
Uh-oh!

Panama, Panama. Wow!
Panama, Panama oh-oh-oh-oh
Woo!

(Guitar Solo)

Yeah, we're runnin' a little bit hot tonight
I can barely see the road from the heat comin' off
You know what I'm sayin'
Ahh, you reach down put it between my legs n' ease the seat back

She's runnin', I'm flyin'
Right behind in the rearview mirror now
Got the fearin', power steerin'
Pistons poppin', ain't no stoppin' now

Panama, Panama
Panama, Panama oh-oh-oh-oh
Panama, Panama oh-oh-oh-oh
Panama
Ancient relic of a by-gone era.

That isn't familiar to me at all for some reason. Not that I'm a huge Van Halen fan, but still...

"I own a boat and her name is Sal, forty miles on the Panama Canal."

It was a send-up of an older song, "Fifteen miles on the Erie Canal."

Hey, while you're down there, try to do a Panama!

. . . or, wait, I think you need to be in Nicaragua for that.

Have fun, hope it's not too hot!
