Can you handle... the DAILY GRIND?

For discussions, announcements, non-technical questions and anything else comics-related or otherwise that doesn't fit in any of the other categories.

My salute goes out to everyone who can do this. Personally it would be near impossible for me to such a thing because I'm a slow poke. So a w00t w00t goes out to everyone!

Well, I only update 3 times a week, thanks school. And then there's the fact that I'll be in Japan for two weeks, thus making it impossible to make strips for the competition.

Nah, everything in Japan is made out of robots these days. The toilets in particular.

Don't forget "enviable amounts of spare time" :D

There's no way I could do this, I'm prouder than proud when I make the weekly grind...

Salute to all participants who don't make a living out of their comics. Those who do are lame.

I agree with Chex about the competition being cooler if people who already made daily strips were not allowed to join. That would have made the competition much much more interesting.

Go Jennie! (Not that she will ever see this.)

I'm cheering for Devil's Panties, but that doesn't mean I don't love the rest of you. But Jennie holds a special place in my heart, because she works at my comic book store, and without her I wouldn't get my comics. Well, I guess I still would, but you know.

Cheer!

Three years ago I coulda done this. But not now, it just takes too long to do a full page comic every day now.

I find something funny about this.

Exactly 1 hour before midnight on the 28th (before the contest started) pacific, the comic server locked up. It was restored by 2AM but the updater was trashed.

I've run three repair scripts at different levels to undo the damage.

What's fun yet is that the daily grind got slashdotted on the second, which resulted in more traffic to all the comic sites.

You'd almost think that someone plotted to eliminate some comics from the start by having their hosts DOS'ed by a slashdot effect.
