It appears that people can not read.

Well now thanks to whoever it was that e-mailed someone they were not supposed to email, I've had to disable all pages that generate stats.

When there is a disclaimer on a page. READ IT

If you know what the "Keenbucks" were, well it's history. Nobody will ever be paid to host their comic on keenspace, and now you can't even pretend.

Again the general populace shall suffer for the mistakes of a few idiots, and again, and again in this world...

I will so very much miss my stats, as I'm sure so many others will. I've met quite a few friends through my stats page, and the referrers were always good for a laugh. We know these types of antics are horribly frustrating to you Kisai, is there anything we can do to fix this?

What actually happened? I mean, certainly leave out any names you feel you should, but I don't get the connection to a rogue email here.

Actually, logs are still there, seems like only keenbucks are missing (aproximate and optimistic calculation of how much our site earns).

Someone must have demanded his "cash", I guess, and probably threatened to sue or inform some authorities if they didn't get it.

Stupid people, but the keenbucks were really only for academic purposes and bragging rights (I still remember Maria and Michelle make about K$40...), so no big loss there, actually.

Still, to force the admins to such an action, I hope the moron responsible gets what's coming to him.

I guess we won't know for sure about the logs until the next time they're due to be updated. Today's are still there, yeah, but they could just remain the same indefinitely if they've been pulled.

I agree with the view it's a form of legislating to the minority...but we'd need more precise information before we make any judgements of our own.

Mind you, I enjoyed seeing where everything was coming from. I forgot about the Keenbucks though...even though they're fake they're probably worth about the same as an Aussie dollar anyway

Clarification for Dutch: by "stats," I don't think Kisai means your webalizer logs. I can still get those (although they seem to be updated around 8:33 PM PST now instead of 9:33 AM) I think she's referring to another page I didn't visit all that often that displayed stats for the whole of Keenspace, the most popular comics on Keenspace, and supposedly how much advertising revenue they were generating pages on their pageviews.

For one horrifying minute, I was afraid I wouldn't be able to get my daily Webalizer fix. (Click click click! YES, OH YES!!)

I would definitly like to know what was actually lost, also I am very curious as to how a single E-mail could kill it. It seems like a very severe reaction so I can only assume that the cause was equally as severe.

I get the feeling that if they actually wanted us to know why we were being "punished", instead of that we we being "punished"; they would have been more forthcoming on the particulars, while witholding info on the guilty party.

Just get a 3rd party stats program like Linktracker, and don't sweat it. Whatever.
