I wonder if it would be cheating to let the robots place call for fire missions from the Orbital Weapons Platforms.

Come hellfire or not, a few hundred kilogrammes of heavy metal rod dropping out of orbit has enough kinetic energy to wreck anyones day.

definitely cheating, orbital weapons platforms are not robots. robots are there own weapon, just like robots don't use tanks, cars or airplanes.
NJ is also Orion's fiance of sexy passion with the love of a thousand sea monkeys

What about Tank-bots?
Robots that look like tanks?

And what about the Terminator style flying robots?

None of those hold a candle to demons. Get it through your heads, people, they can't be harmed by conventional weaponry, only Faith can hurt them.

And robots don't have Faith!

Besides, if the robots are stutpid enough to begin bombarding Earth with such weapons, they might find the humans siding with the demons.
Faith is what credulity becomes when it finally achieves escape velocity from the constraints of terrestrial discourse- reasonableness, internal coherence, civility, and candor. Thus, the men who commited the atrocities of September 11 were neither cowards nor lunatics of any sort, but Men of Faith- perfect faith- and this, it must finally be acknowleged, is a terrible thing to be.

Robots have logic.

Logic does not apply to Demons, you may argue.
However, even faced by Demons, robots would still "believe" in Logic, and is that not faith?

Or: Demons require Faith too. Since robots lack faith, they lack the ability to comprehend demons, and the demons are therefore unable to interact with the robots, because they do not believe.

You know, that just shows that the mere existence of the demons might be enough to finish the robots.
Frying oneself while trying to understand something that makes no sense is the #1 reason for death among killer machines, as movie evidence clearly proves.

well something people forget, an army of robots on thier own would either be... controlled by humans or be given the ability to fend for themselves.. repairing thier own bodies. and I'm sure the fallen of thier group would just be recycled/repaired and fal back in line.

And well robots in fiction have developed compassion and belief, and is this not faith?

who's to say robots could not develop faith.. specially when they are fighting proof positive that there is a god and satan.

unless were not talking about the jedo-christian mythos.

Faith is believing in something that can't be proven. Logic can be proven, so it's not faith.

Also remember demons can interact with the physical world as well, not just living beings. So it doesn't matter if the robots can't "compute" demons, the demons can still break their shiny metal backs.

Once you have proof positive, Faith is out the window. See the definition of faith above.

Then if faith doesn't exist, where does that leave demons who opperate on such principles?

I think you've got it backwards, Man exists on the principle of God's faith. We are a glimmer in his eye not He in ours. Did you learn nothing from Noah?
I remember caring... It was nice.

Which begs the question; If a human can beat up demons, why couldn't a robot? But then you're dealing with specifically defined demons, oh well.
