Faith is what credulity becomes when it finally achieves escape velocity from the constraints of terrestrial discourse- reasonableness, internal coherence, civility, and candor. Thus, the men who commited the atrocities of September 11 were neither cowards nor lunatics of any sort, but Men of Faith- perfect faith- and this, it must finally be acknowleged, is a terrible thing to be.
As authors it is our duty to create lovable enticing characters, and do horrible evil things to them.
I don't mind straight people, as long as they act gay in public.

Demons.
Even a human would have better chances against a demon then a robot, they can't use any magic, and bullets, explosions, lasers and all that are just useless.
hmm...
robots could potentially keep pouring out of factories, using the minimal amount a resources needed and be programed to target the demon's dimension... (think of any time humans have tried to stand up to a robot army)
but we are talking about a demon army, potentially they are ALL trained to fight and die, and they can call upon the forces dark to summon more soldiers at any time... but this still requires resources... demons probably have the ability to teleport right where they want to be between dimensions, since they have control over all that hocus pocus....
both sides are creative, have entire worlds to call upon for help in their fight but I think inevitably the robots would lose because they simply are machines/AIs, and demons are supposed to be veryveryvery clever. I think an AI would pick one strategem and stick with it, try to wear down the demons, and the demons would work around it.
Robots.
Magic doesn't exist so demons would have to conform to the mundane rules of reality. So the robots would squish them.
If magic did exist, I'd just build magical robots which would still trump the demons.
In Judeo-Christian mythos, God, demons, angels, nephilim/anakim, and even to some extent humans are composed of magic; although the bible rarely refers to magic because magic is taboo for humans.
What does this mean? Unless you're fighting lvl 4 Bog Imp, your robot is going to get his ass hexed, zapped, and transmutated. And not to mention the fact demons, like angels, can posess OBJECTS and take only physical form when they want to.
Furthermore, a physical form is insubstantial to them, since they can just spawn themselves a new one if the old one gets killed.
Satan can easily beat the pants off of Big Blue ergo. Demons use their combined evil to wreak havoc on the world, and robots just eat a big fat demon cock!

Demons are fallen angels. When Lucifer left Heaven he took 1/3 of the angels with him. There are an infinite number of angels, so there are an infinite number of demons. (Like an infinite number of odd numbers...)
Demons are magical, and unbound by the laws of physics.
There are only so many robots that can be built with the materials on Earth, and they would be constrained by the laws of physics. Plus, they could be posessed.
Finally, some would argue that AI is not in God's plan, and that robot AI is demonic in nature anyway.
You have a girlfriend, and this is what you're sitting around doing? Arguing over robots and demons?
Time to introduce some alcohol to this relationship, or something...
(...and Demons all the way!)
okay you see we are nerds and have nothing better to talk about on the phone. i know thats sad but it's better than doing the "I love you." "No i love you more." "no i lovve you more." crap...
Feh. If Megatron beat and killed Optimus Prime with RIDICULOUS ease, a demon can do it just by waving its pinky.
Robots are not alive and are dependent on both physical resources and engergy to function; those are very important limitations.
Demons are immortal and of preternatural origin, and they won't go away until God ends Creation.
Demons all the way.
