If banning other comics from pitching is our only solution... This forum has SERIOUS problems. I'd be wise to say you lower this policy and find a better one because this just doesn't float anyone's boat.

Yes, there will always be bad comics and pitching, but guess what? KS has their bad bunch too and every forum has to deal with it. So what? Honestly, it will just get worse if you do this and people will hate KS more. Not to mention we will be further isolated and no one will get a bit of culture.

Please re-think this policy or it might ruin a good board.

Quite a few of my favorite (non-Keenspace) comics have been found via pitching here.

This new rule is plainly asinine.

what REALLY gets my goat about the whole thing, is that he found out about it in IRC, and within 5 minutes (less really) had added the rules. without asking for opinion, totally changing the established rules of the forum. without ANY questioning the community. look at the results. i dont see anyone in favour.
(in fact, when he was criticized in IRC he completley ignored it.)

now, redwolf has a reputation for making bad decisions on impulse, but never this fast. im really really narked if you cant tell, and im making an effort not to be completley assholish about the whole thing, on YeahDuffs advice, hence, im limiting my vocabulary to the NICE words.

It should be pitching for all, let all comers in. The whole point of it is to broaden our horizons. The newsbox renders this place pretty pointless for keenspace comics. If there's a problem maker, sort him/her out, don't punish everyone for the problems caused by one person.
Non-keenspace comics have been some of the best pitches here. Ones like Beaver and Steve, or Cave Monster.
People will never think keenspace is any different if we don't let them in.

I agree with the current majority. I think this forum should be open to ANYONE who wants to pitch their comic. If it is garbage the best thing we can do is ignore it. But we've had some great non keenspace comics post here. It exposes us to comics we may have never stumbled across, but it also exposes them to our comics. They check back to read the comments and, if so inclined, may click on our link and like what they find. I understand where STrRedWolf is coming from. It seems like we've got a lot of non spacers posting here and it could open up the floodgates and become overrun but I don't think banning them is a solution. Like Kris X said, this won't do much in the PR department and general attitude toward keenspacers.
STrRedWolf in the guidelines you asked them to post in Off Topic. Off Topic is a great thread and I would hate for it to become overrun with non keenspacers posting their strips. It would ruin that thread.
We've had some great non keenspacers post their comics (Jen Babcock comes to mind) and decide to hang around our community for awhile.
Please reconsider the new guideline. Like the others said, don't punish everyone for the actions of one or two.
Comic Pitching should be just that. Comic pitching.
