Yeah. I watched it. On VHS. In one night.
No. I did not know it was going to be six hours long when I started it. At eight at night.
But it WAS pretty good. I liked it.

I really liked it. My Dad has it on VHS. The Wolf was my favorite character, and I liked how the mushrooms in the forbidden forest sang "Lighter shade of pale."
Oh! And my husabd and I always quote the trolls - "They are called 'The Brothers Gib,' and they sing of a terrible fever that only occurs on Saturdays..."

Watched it, didn't reeally care for it. Too kiddie.
Faith is what credulity becomes when it finally achieves escape velocity from the constraints of terrestrial discourse- reasonableness, internal coherence, civility, and candor. Thus, the men who commited the atrocities of September 11 were neither cowards nor lunatics of any sort, but Men of Faith- perfect faith- and this, it must finally be acknowleged, is a terrible thing to be.

Yea, I liked it. A lot. It needs a DVD. Does it have a DVD? I only have it on VHS...
Anyway, yea. Wolf was my favorite character too. ^^

As for the whole, "kiddie stuff." The movie was full of adult humor, perhaps more mature than "kiddie stuff."

The show had a lot of mature themes but they were watered down, safe, made for TV. It's like watching a Soap Opera and seeing somebody get naked. You're not actually going to see anything. It's just the impression of nudity. A lot of the scenes that should have been really intense were cheery.
The addiction to the magic shoes... glossed over.
The wolf trying to eat the mother... comedic.
The wicked queen... hardly a villain.
It was good, but it had the potential to be great.

I LOVE 10TH KINGDOM!!!
It ruined watching Shrek for me. All the time during the movie I was repeating "Meh, 10th kingdom already did this". That goes for just about every thing people considered original in Shrek.
I like the slightly histeric acting. Like the dog that is in body of a prince. Reminds me of Blake Edwards movies. Has some specific style in it, it's very easy to reckognize author's signature. What more can I ask, being that most of series are industrial products with as little individual touch as it's possible.]
For me it is basically it is an adult show, but made to mimic a children's show. Because of that, and because it was wattered down, I guess children can watch it safely too. But I don't think they'd get all references. I can imagine a kid asking his mother: "Mom, why is a snow-white fat and old?"
