Let's play: Who/What is in you avatar!!!!
You win a brand new... um... (gotta think, gotta think, can't look stupid in front of the professional posters) um... a brand new CAR! (d'oh!) I mean, you win a giant magical sword/stick that, upon thwaking you in the head, will send you into the dreams of a crazy old man to stop a mysterious woman who has been stealing his chest hair. (Whew!)
Um, my avatar's a character from my comic, who is also a real person from California. He was weird; every photo that anyone took of him had to invovle him posing with a fire hydrant (I mean that in just a really weird way, not anything sick). I swear, I think he had a picture of every fire hydrant in Salem, OR, and could probably tell you the actual street each one was on just by looking at the picture.
Or possible it's just me. Even I don't know.

<== Me, sometime between 0800 on the 13th November 2005 and 1300 hours on November 14, somewhere several miles away from my current location (and hometown) in a kneeling firing position, running a drill on how to disengage from a superior enemy force (the image is cut from a bigger one, where you'd see my squadmates "shooting" and scooting in a relatively well formed "zipper"-maneuver).
I'm not a soldier by profession, but I'm a member of a volunteer youth (15-20 year olds) organisation organized by the Swedish Defence, and hopefully I'll manage to make my way through the system and into the Swedish Homeguard at some point in the future. The pic was taken during a 47 hour combat exercise for the senior members of the local branch of the organisation. Twelve eighteen+ year olds partook in the exercise along with four instructors, playing the role of OpFor against the Homeguard...
But that's a different story, and I don't want to start rambling.

:o y'know, I just sort of.. um... noticed my avatar is, um, gone.
:o so I upload it again today... Oh yes.

:'d it's from my halloween costume from about two years ago.
I spent probably three weeks preparing the costume itself, and 14 hours wearing it. :'D Yes, it is some anime character. Or well, it's not just any character, since this character does have a name and all. :o.. (like this.)

"I came, I saw, I clicked."
At least, that's what I thought when I first saw it.

This avatar is an aspect of myself, known as the character "Spiro".
He represents "Character". He is the face worn to interact with the world on a level that they can understand, and I myself can tollerate.
This one drawn by Mr. Bob, who captured his characteristics quite well.
