Co-Writer Wanted
Co-Writer Wanted
<strike>I guess I've come to the realization that I can easilly churn out plot ideas and the illustration for a daily comic quite easilly (and I'm also very confident in the characters I've created), but when it comes down to how the plot breaks down into each cell and the actual dialogue, I could really use some full-time help. I'd love to bring on board someone as a writer/co-creator if they're open to using the characters and plot I've created so far if I send them all of the behind-the-scenes outlines that I have. Who ever gets the job would be welcome to offer any changes, and after we run out of the pre-done stuff that needs to get covered, I'm fine with them taking over the plot control completely.
Anyway, if you're really interested, contact me on my AIM screenname, LiterallyThis (I'd prefer live instant message discussion rather than email with candidates since I really need to get a feel for how the collaboration process might go). And please have Photoshop, GIMP, or Paint Shop Pro...</strike>
I think I found someone! Yay for the message boards!

Hehe. What I basically need is a Mary Poppins writer...Vorticus wrote:Yeah, usually it's:

If you want this choice position,
You must have a cheery disposition,

In all seriousness, I'd love someone who is good at both dramatic and comedic writing. I really love a heavy combo of both.

Well, a bit exagerating, but from time to time, people do post here looking for someone to draw a comic based on their script. Funny enough, I remember only once or twice someone actually offering a script for people to read before they apply.Vorticus wrote:Yeah, usually it's:

As comparision, I've often met people who want to form a band, in which they would be singers, since, of course, they can't play any instrument. How little do they know that being singer is the hardest and most exausting job in a band.
Although I've not been in a band, I've done enough classical piano and voice performance to find that singing is the easier of the two...mcDuffies wrote:Well, a bit exagerating, but from time to time, people do post here looking for someone to draw a comic based on their script. But, tried singing in an big room for two hours as oposed to playing rock music for two hours? I haven't been in a band either, but I played a lot for my friends, and I find that singing exausts you quickly, while several hours of playing were never a problem to me.Andronis wrote: Although I've not been in a band, I've done enough classical piano and voice performance to find that singing is the easier of the two...

I don't have AIM, only Yahoo. Its probably just as well tho, as I am working on five different comics as it is. Talk about a glutton for punishment.
oh.. and as for the piano and rock bands.. any one ever heard of a little known band called Dream Theatre?

But then again, I am just a Mushroom. What would I know?

Hmm, you are an artist who wants a writer? I know a writer who wants an artist (I deemed myself too lazy for the job). Contact Uberbanana on AIM and tell him I sent you.
