On a lark, I just looked out at the JoBeth.net site. As I was looking at it I realized that Tonja Steele is the ONLY strip listed on the site that still updates.
And the Jackie's Fridge ad is from the Dannys storyline.
Every other strip listed is dead. JF is dead. JoBeth is dead. Catball is dead. Anime Tenticle Girls was never born. Even the featured comic, The Nolans, is dead!

too true
Joey> thank you for continuing to update your comic. I'm really enjoying it! If you don't update it for whatever reason, you're vigilant about saying that you won't be...
BJ> Dude!! I think at the very least you should post something on the Jackie's Fridge page with a "State of the Jackie's Fridge Address" or something of that sorts. Being an artist too, I know all about how it's hard to stay motivated 24/7, dealing with a full time job, etc, etc. I know i wouldn't be able to do a web strip for any length of time, but I think you owe it to long time readers to kinda say what's up, don't you think?
Hope all is well,
~Jason

BJ's finally updating again, beating my unofficial football pool
His script is missing for the Halloween story, so right now, he's doing strips on the fly, which isn't fun, I know. I had Darron and Liza's first date completely written this summer, complete with Elton John and corndogs, and 'foof'! It disappeared. Even though I'd been saving as I went. I cried and re-wrote it. So that's kind of what happened to BJ.
As for JoBeth, it was easier to update it when we were still drawing for the Pointer. We got kicked out of the Pointer because a.) we're not students anymore (alumni don't count cuz they can't get money from us anymore), b.)there are students with "artwork" to fill it, and c.) The Pointer, like Keenspot, likes crappy, badly scanned art the sporadically (spelling?) updates.
I like Jason's idea of putting up a speech of sorts on JoBeth.net. Just as long as it doesn't have the phrase "catastrophic success" in it.
I have ten minutes to get ready for work, so I'm outta here.

Any timetable on new Catball?
Snowflake Studios, home of "Jerry Little", "Rainy Day Comics", "Scarlet, P.I.", "47 Meatballs", and more. Storming on the internet since 2000.

A brief jaunt to the forum before I finish coloring the strip (and yes, there will be an update on Saturday).
The best I can do is put on my Julie mouth and nag BJ. He has a bunch of them done, but hasn't found time (???!!!) to put them up yet. I'd draw some, if I could come up with some trippy enough ideas.
I'm starting to feel like the General Custer of JoBeth.net. Dead comics lying all around me! Keep bugging BJ, everyone. That's all I can offer, besides updating my own strip.

Been there, done that. We've got more dead comics than active ones at Snowflake. I know how you feel.J-Dawg wrote:I'm starting to feel like the General Custer of JoBeth.net. Dead comics lying all around me!
