non-working linkage in calendar, and disappearing ads

Post by PickleJar »

Okay, I'm 99% sure this isn't my fault, as all I did to create a calendar was use the calendar keentag. In my calendar (I tried it on 3 different pages, just to make sure), when you go to click on one of the "W"s to view a week, there's a extra slash in the URL, after the ".com" and before the "w". resulting in a 404 when clicked. To be honest, I don't have need for the W feature at all, I just clicked it to see what it would look like.

Oh, and this might just be some weirdness with my version of Opera, but no ads are showing up, only a plain white banner. If it's something I did in the template, please let me know so I can fix it, I don't want anyone to think I'm trying to circumvent the ads.

W doesn't work anymore. It's kind of a remnant of the old Keenprime code system.

So it's not yet fault.

I just notice the w folder that matches the d folder and figured if my daily pages were being generated in the "d" then my weeklies would have been generated in the "w". With that said, if we hand made pages and put into the 'w' folder would that be acceptable, or would it cause problems somewhere in the system?

I'm just curious and didn't want to do anything that might cause a problem.

What an interesting idea. There's the lost ad-views to consider also, but I'd be interested to hear if it would work.

I'm still wondering if you could have a comic called "WWW" so that the url ends up being http://www.keenspace.com. Image

nope, you can't. Names like 'www' and 'siteadmin' and 'guide' are already taken... I remember Kisai mentioning it some time ago.

I'm also prettysure that www webcomic would also give off some sort of IIS error, and we can't have that.

Looking at it again, I'm pretty sure the extra "/" would cause it not to work. Oh well. It would have been nice.
