He hit me back (July 27)

Either Ben has strange dreams (who can blame him ?) or some artist needs a reality check.

What kind of reality check are you referring to? Seems pretty accurate given how the UN tends to treat Israel.

Seems pretty innacurate given the imbalance between the israeli and palestinian forces. Ever seen a palestinian helicopter ? Or a palestinian tank ? Or a palestinian plane ?
Oh well, the US government unconditionnaly supports Isa

When was the last time anyone saw an Israeli duct-tape C4 to his chest, march down to a mosque, and blow himself and a few dozen men, women, and children into small, bloody rags? The situation does not favor Israel as much as you believe.

Ever see an Israeli homicide bomber? Or an Israeli plane hijacker? Or an Isreali teaching their children that killing anyone that doesn't agree with them will get them into heaven?

Very good Bolo. And the basic scenerio goes something like this:

1: Homicide bomber enters a synagogue, restaurant, movie theatre, or name your own NON-COMBATANT, UNARMED, CIVILIAN "target", detonates him/herself killing several dozen innocent men, women & children.

2: The Israelis' identify the murderer, go to the home of the parents of said murderer, give said parents of said murderer 5-10min to collect whatever valuables they can and vacate the house and then bulldoze said house into a pile of rubble.....KILLING NO-ONE!!!!!

3: The UN denounces Israel's surgically selective, non-leathal retaliation as "barbaric" and demand that the practice cease immediately as being "destabilizing" all the while calling the original slaughter of innocents a tragic "incident"!

Yeah......right!

Kneko might do well to remember that during the Clinton administration, at a peace summit Isreal agreed to over 95% of what Arafat demanded before "peace" could be even be negotiated and it was Arafat that got up and walked away from the table not Israel.

If I sound a little hot about this it's because I've been over there and have witnessed the carnage first-hand! I have personally treated wounded women and children. I have personally helped collect pieces of victims in the hope of identifying them. So I know whereof I speak. There is far, far,FAR, more innocent blood on Arafat's hands than has ever been on Israels'.

One last point.....I'm a Christian, not a Jew so my religious views have nothing to do with how I feel about this. My anger at Arafat, the PLO, and the UN come from my civilized human feelings and not any religious or political leanings.

Well. Israel steals palestinian lands (and please don't give me that biblical bullshit about god-given land or I'm gonna puke), destroy their farmings, cut their water supplies, and enclose them between walls or fences. But hey! No palestinian killed! Well, there might be some "targeted" killings, or tank accidents, or the occasional nervous israeli soldier. But every single palestinian is a terrorist, right ? And those fucking brats where throwing stones at the mighty israeli army! Shoot them before they damage the beautilful tanks!

I'm not a muslim. I'm not arab. I'm not antisemite. And I don't fucking approves the blind killing of innocent by palestinian kamikazes (and I call these terrorists, not the whole palestinian people). But abyssus abyssum invocat, and violence calls for more violence. It's the land-stealing in the name of that god-given land bullshit, and the subsequent killings that create terrorism. And Sharon is putting more fuel to the fire by doing even more land-stealing, killing even more people, and insulting muslims all over the world.

The case is close for me, and I won't waste anymore of your time on the subject. I don't expect you to change your mind, no more than you expect me to change mine. I'm just tired by the amount of bad faith on both sides of the conflict. And sometimes I feel the need to enter the debate even though I know it's pointless. Adios.[/b]

Kneko,

I happen to agree that there needs to be some give on both sides, but I think part of the problem here is that you used the word Palestinian in your initial post rather than the PLO, which Ralph's comic is focused on. The PLO are the ones that cry foul when a terror attack triggers retribution from Israel's military.

I, personally, believe that the majority of Palestinians would welcome living in peace, but their "leaders" have no control what-so-ever. Israel's leaders do have power, but they cannot just knuckle under because that won't solve anything. (And the current leadership of Isreal is a little hawkish to make peace anyway.)

I also believe that forcing the creation of an Israel down the throats of the arab nations in the area was a huge mistake. But, what's done is done. Israel cannot be unmade and the Palestinian and Israeli leaders had better figure out some way to live with each other or there won't be many of either side left to worry about it.

P.S. BTW, I am not Jewish, Muslim, or anything else that would bias me on this subject.

[...unWARP!!!]

Good evening.

The term "Palestine" was actually coined by the Romans who wanted to rename the whole area, basically trying (but failing) to blot out the Israelites after 70 AD (before, the land was called Jud

Oh, for cripe's sake...

This is the same trolling wacko who has preached the same "Palestinian" propaganda on this same forum at least three times now. He shows up, spews foolishness, gets shown how stupid he is, leaves, and then later changes his name slightly and starts all over again. The guy's got personal problems of some sort, and I don't care what they are.

C'mon guys - Don't Feed The Trolls.

Thanks Monty.....I thought this guy sounded familiar. Not so much what was being said but the "tone" of how it was being presented. I've run into him or his/her clone/sycophant on a couple of other forums in the past.
