the funnies
i'm not sure how this works so if i'm wrong dont get mad. if lof isn't based on something you could get it put in the sundays' paper. just put out the one's you already did to get some green (money), and a reputation. you'll get paid and maybe get discovered by a big comic company. oh lets say like marvel dc op cow dark horse whatever
Yeah, but then we'd have to pay to read LoF, and money-hungry people'd be like...Ok, Clarence (they probally wouldn't call him CDC ), let's do this. No? Fine, you're off the writing staff!
Oh, new guy! Kill of Par! It'll really make the fans want to keep reading it! And then we'll bring back Bane from another dimension, even though everyone thinks he's dead, it'd be so suprising! Then we'll have a cross-over with the X-men! Yeah! And no more of that silly "manga" stuff, start coloring the pictures!
------------------

Actually I don't think LoF would do good in the "funny pages". The comics in there don't really have an ongoing story line. An ongoing storyline would make it hard for anyone who didn't start reading it from the beginning. Whereas here on the computer you got the whole archives.
------------------

The Sunday stuff is generally filler since it has to be submitted early for color. It can't necessarily follow the storyline unless the story's been done in advance. But with the recent addition of color to dailies(which I feel ruins the feel of a good comic strip) I don't know if it's still this way. I also don't know how many papers have gone to color in their dailies.
I know I've only been getting the Sunday paper for quite a while so I haven't been able to see storylines. There'd have to be a dramatic change in syndicated comics.
------------------

Problem is LoF strips would be a layout nightmare for newspapers. I haven't stuck to the same aspect/size ratio for many of my strips. Whoever is responsible for laying out the sunday funnies in your newspapers prefers strips that have a fixed height and width. Think of it.. if every strip you were given each Sunday were of unpredictable size you'd go crazy trying to fit them into place.
I'd have to go back and redo every LoF strip in order to meet the editor's requirements. Only two things would entice me to do just that: a boat load of money or a gun to my head ;P
LoF book! I want a LoF book! Send your LoF comics to a publisher and get them to print a LoF book!
Your comic's too good to go into the paper with all the lesser comics!
------------------
