A really frustrated new year in Ohio
I swear, this New Year is just mucked up for me already.
It started on New Year's Eve, when I was helping people move to a new house. It was raining, and my bro-in-law and I ended up moving the Washer and Dryer. The dryer wasn't too bad, but the washing machine was slick from the rain and ended up in a pile of dog poo after hurting my fingers badly AND doing property damage by knocking off some of the brick veneer on the house. From there, I went home and got royally motion-sick watching "Moulin Rouge" while listening to my nephew whine about his usual spoiled 4-year-old type crankiness.
NYDay was okay, until bro-in-law made the mistake of eating sauerkraut and drinking cider and spent the night in the bathroom, and somehow, everyone else got sick in the process. This meant another day of watching little nephew.
Then the day after, school got canceled, so i tried to finish my English project, but bro-in-law kept needing to check his e-mail every hour and a half, so I only did about 11 on 14 comic pages - Jack and I are working on this as a pair. Then suddenly, as I was putting away dishes, I discovered I was bleeding suddenly.
This makes almost no difference to anyone else, but it sure felt good to vent.

Naw, just a cut of some sort. I'm typing this with a bandage on my thumb (REALLY frustrating when you have to practice piano) - and that was the other thing: I have this one piece for piano that I can only play when I'm at home by myself. It's an arrangement of Pachelbel's Canon in D by Nancy Faber, and every time I reach the cool part, someone complains of a headache or something else - and it's not half as loud as this Schubert waltz I play three pieces before!
So I was practicing this piece, and little nephew (the one who plays the flutophone at full volume in my ear all the time and laughs at the pained expression on my face) started yelling "I have an ear infection! I have an ear infection! I have an ear infection!" This was a half hour after his latest flutophone burst.
Grr...

Oy...I sure do hope this year's worth it, quite frankly. Everyone that I talked to on New Year's Eve or New Year's Day was having a horrible time, myself included. (No, I didn't talk to myself.)
On this one mIRC server that I've been on since before I met Simon here, (GASP!!) my "best friend" just decided to start hating me for no reason in particular. Her friend megabanned me (10 bans) from her chan and my "friend" applauded her for it. Sickening.
Next thing that happened, I got Furcadia. (YAY!) I'd been having a great time on there so far, when, on the second day, my closest friend (nicknamed Chu) said that his girlfriend on Furcadia blew up at him that morning...He was depressed the rest of the day, hasn't been online since (three days ago). I met his girlfriend and she and I are now getting along just great. Her name's Monet and she's kind of bipolar. When I first met her, she sounded rather rude in asking me what I had to do with her private life. Oh well, that's overwith and she and I are planning something for Chu.
Pretty wacky so far, neh? I hope tomorrow's open house is worth the trouble. Turns out hardly any of my friends can make it, however, so I'm stuck with my mom's 32 guests and maybe one or two of my own.

Yeah, I especially like the chapters on removing ground-in stains from fabric, and the 'how to build a deck' section.MixedMyth wrote:Aii! Kama Sutra on the boards? Oh well, I suppose it does have a lot of advice as well as the, erm, more well known aspects of it.
Very informative, and extremely helpful!
What?
