"There's something to be said for relations. It has to be said because it's unprintable." --Mark Twain
Particularly apropos for me right now. Aside from myself and my parents, not one...single...family...member can be bothered to attend my brother's wedding this weekend. We have no other siblings, and my grandmother is too frail, but my aunts/uncles/cousins/grandfather, apparently, don't consider this important enough. It's the first family wedding in over ten years and only the second of our generation; admittedly, it is a fair distance to travel, but still! The bride's family is coming in from all over. Good thing we'll have lots of friends along to even out the crowd--not that it's a competition, but, much as I love her, her family can get a little overwhelming en masse.
Sorry. Rant over. Should be lots of fun nonetheless. Have to buy packing peanuts...

...Speaking as an official Younger Brother, I feel it's my duty to disavow this myth. Why, if I killed my sister, then we wouldn't be able to gang up on our parents!AirbornFox wrote:wow, a sister! dont siblings always want to kill each other?

Completely in agreement
Airborn fox could not have been more right. A lot of times sibiling help each other more than hurt each other. But this is a intresting turn of events.
One things for sure i can't wait to see what happens to Jack.
I may be crazy but its a good crazy
Ahh siblings...AirbornFox wrote:middle child, guilty as charged.my sister tormented me, I wreak havoc on my lil bro, then he and I gang up on my sis. we all love it, so the cycle continues.
Who else can you both hate with your whole being, and love forever at the same time... 8)
I too cannot wait to see what the deal is with this

I actually think it has something to do with the Leonine Law that now classifies Jack as a Lion.Daniel Cougar wrote:Considering her comments, I'm betting that Jack has been adopted!Olick wrote:I too cannot wait to see what the deal is with this
I suppose he had to be in someone's family, seeing that he couldn't possibly be related to his own family, being a lion and all.(haha)
I suppose the world will know in 5 or so hours...

As if that wasn't bad enough, didn't Jack and Jenny dine on lion jerky a few times since? Whether or not lions mind cannibalism in this setting, that's not likely to impress the family.Matt Trepal wrote:And the only water Jack gave to the dead was his salivating....
Not good when they find out about that back at the seitch.

I did indeed get the reference, Matt. So I pay you appropriate tribute -- you may send your due-collectors around at any time.Matt Trepal wrote:And the only water Jack gave to the dead was his salivating....

Now, what was the name of that planetary Judge of the Change.... "Keet Lion"?

Interesting Plot twist
Sounds like Jack may have an adopted sister, that may not have liked/loved her original sibling, and may become his bodyguard to protect him from the other lions.
Thank you Scott for the reference to the Red Rubber Ball earlier. I have extras here if Jack wants one.

Hmmm... she did say to jack that she's "Someone else that wants to kill you.", but I guess "wants" doesn't have to mean she will... hrmwhitepony wrote:Sounds like Jack may have an adopted sister, that may not have liked/loved her original sibling, and may become his bodyguard to protect him from the other lions.

Wants to or will
I noted that too. I suspect that if she really wanted to kill Jack, she would have and could have done so several times over, instead of going through so much trouble to save him only to detain him for some special meeting with the rest of his new adopted family.Tegeran wrote:Hmmm... she did say to jack that she's "Someone else that wants to kill you.", but I guess "wants" doesn't have to mean she will... hrmwhitepony wrote:Sounds like Jack may have an adopted sister, that may not have liked/loved her original sibling, and may become his bodyguard to protect him from the other lions.
I'll admit that Scott has my attention with this sub-plot.

Yes.
But my biological family is only random chance that I had no say in. I pick those I consider my real family for myself. Maybe it would help if I heard from them other than when they wanted something from me. I'm going to drop the subject now, it just gives me migraines.
