Just because I like Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura, Magic Knights Rayearth, Saint Tail, Utena, Tenshi ne Narumon, EscaFlowne, Fancy Lala, and Pretty Sammy AND I'M a GUY, does not automagically make me a perv!!!! :x And if that little marmoset freak doesn't understand that, I gonna have to pop him one! Grrrrrr!! :evil:

I thought most of the characters in Escaflowne were guys...

Escaflowne is supposed to be targeted towards the ladies, yes. That is the reason why they have guys in it. I believe the word is called "Bishonen"?
Does anyone remember when Escaflowne aired on Fox Kids? Well, if you do, to let you know, they took it down becuase about right in the middle of the series they discovered it was targeted towards girls rather than boys and then replaced it with Nascar Drivers. (Who in their right mind would replace Escaflowne with that crap?)

shoot, i'll watch anything. i am, however, partial to mecha. anime chicks are a nice bonus though.

If manga type comics like Kittyhawk doing and into anime perhaps you know if the Ranma videos are running late from Viz. The next one I ordered KISS ME CAT is listed for Sept in the order form I used but the Viz web site only list the first two videos of the current formmate.

Also Hiroshi Aro done some good gender bender manga translated by Ironcat comics.

i been totaly digging g-gundam. production quality is sweet. i've been fooled by like three plot twists now. but then, that whole "giant-robo", "lupin" style really gets me in my...uh..anime gland?

Never got much into Gundam but enjoyed watching Devil Hunter Yohko last night and was trying to find out if Fancy Lala was a good magicial girl DVD to see.

I also enjoy Kittyhawk's Monday comic and how our magic creature got our star to head out to fight the monster.

As much as it shocks people to learn if they have met me, I am a huge fan of Sailor Moon, (with the exception of SuperS). And, believe it or not, I liked it for the storyline, especially Stars.
The only thing that could have made it better would have been a giant robot. :lol:
Other than Sailor Moon, I like most anything Gainax (furikuri, furikuri!) Nadia, (fuuuriiikuuuriii) Eva, (Fuuuuuu....) even occaisonally Ebichu...
Oh yeah, FLCL is in there too (Furikuri=god of all things kickass :D ).

But back to the topic of magical girl anime... Jubei-Chan, Shamanic Princess (Mmmm, blood magick), Ayashi no Ceres, Key the Metal Idol, Vampire Princess Miyu, and in a sort of twisted way Kite and Lain.
*pause, breathe*
Just don't try watching these expecting happy happy sparkly joyfulness.

I am the very model of a modern angsty nemesis. 8)

Whenever I try to look at anime with my friends there, they always see Fancy La La, its funny how three words can totally emasculate a man.

Guess it can be looked at either way. LA LA or LALA as it looks like one word on the DVD cover. I wonder who La La's rival will be in volume 2.
Speaking of rivals interesting giant bull in the latest Kittyhawk strip here with Valkyrie.

I love Sailor Moon (Sailor Mercury actually) And I watch it when I can, I love Magical Knight Rayearth (Umi-chan is the Hottest!) I want to see it again. I watch and LOVE every episode of Love Hina (I cant choose, their all hot, save for Shinobu, Kaolla and Sara)

But anyway.. There's nothing wrong with Magical Girl Cartoons and swooning over the characters, then getting so deep into the storyline that you cry. And yes I do cry when the story is good. That's what makes those anime worth watching are the deep plots that grip you and make you an addict than a basic fan.

oh someone mentioned FLCL, I got the first DVD in the post two days ago. It rocks!! Man, that girl on the psycho vespa... crazy Gainax... but very cool...
