And now it's time for a stupid and overly judgemental poll.

SUGOI!!!! MISPELLING WORDS IS SOOO KAWAIIIII!!! ^____________^
Anyway, I don't really have a comic I dislike. Though I do dislike comics that have a continous story, because they force me to always read thier comic when it updates. Though, I DO Like comics with a story, because they're usually more creative. It's a vicious loop.

There are so many out there that are SO bad, I didn't bother to remember most of their names. But the one that really sticks out, in my mind, is Keenspot's Look What I Brought Home. I'll laugh at funny crude humor, I'll admit -- but I never once laughed at LWIBH.
There are a couple other Keenspot comics that are equally as unfunny or offensive (at least to me), but LWIBH doesn't even have decent drawings to back it up. I'm not necessarily interested in decent drawings per se -- after all, I draw the jaggiest comic on the 'space, and AiS is one of my absolute favorites -- but I at least expect good drawing if your writing sucks as much as LWIBH.
Like Exploitation Now. I don't like the writing... but the artist has talent.
I really, really hope Scott Kuehner isn't some big biker with a bad attitude, because he's the one Keen so-called artist that I would love to see vanish from the net.
--Strange/Dave, who's normally much more diplomatic about such things but felt like venting
------------------

Sab, heh. Storyline-fueled comics, in my opinion, come from a LACK of creativity. From what I can tell, the author of the strip comes up with one (1) good idea that can last through a week or two worth of strips and goes through a logical progression. Those of us (myself, the PA guys, and Aaron Farber of Pentasmal, most notably) who have to come up with a completely new setting or "plot" for our strips every day have a much harder time, in my opinion, just because we go through ideas faster. But that's just my two cents.
------------------

So, what's the worst webcomic you've ever seen or read? Besides this one, of course.
------------------

Sure, I'll answer.
I don't really have a vote for the worst webcomic, although ones that are written by people who don't know proper spelling or grammar bug me to no end. Probably the most glaring example of this is <a href="http://www.unlikeminerva.com/~uk/index. ... ndoubtedly Kawaii, but there's many others.
------------------

Sometimes stories are easier, sometimes one-shots are easier. It depends on what idea you have.
Most truly bad webcomics don't last. You get little Keenspacers that update five times and then vanish. I assume the authours then kill themselves because, really, what else is there to live for? You tried to play a game with no rules and no boundaries, and you FAILED.

I don't see if there's an option OTHER than suicide like the winners who brought us such classic works of art as Regina Felina.
*snicker*
------------------

I suppose what you're saying is right. Perhaps creativity isn't the right word to use. But I like it when a comic (or any other form of entertaining material, for that matter) refers to an event that happened months before.
But then again, I'm weird like that.

I haven't read enough webcomics to be able to pick the one that I think is worst..but I did find this extremely ironic, Caph.
You said:

quote:

"...although ones that are written by people who don't know proper spelling or grammar bug me to no end...the...example of this is Undoubtedly Kawaii, but there's many others.

Speaking of bad grammar, that should be "but there are many others." I just thought that was kind of funny. <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/wink.gi ... eers,

------------------

I kinda did that on purpose, Mat. "There's" is a bit more understandable than "there're." I hate the word "there're," and I didn't feel like typing "there are," so that's why I typed "there's." Stupid reason, I know. Sorry
------------------

It's kind of like how ending a sentence with "...aren't I?" is technically grammatically incorrect, but everyone says it anyway.
And I agree... "there're" does look really dumb...
------------------

What you could have done is said "there's a sizeable group of others" or something along those lines to pull off grammatical correctness and still use "there's".
