We'll last so long...

Post by Gloria »

Well, I decide it was time for an update on my life, as you all seem to find me so interesting... Um, yeah.

Well, Devon, Tim, and James made it out here, and they all left again on Tuesday, Dev and Tim for CA and James to meet up with his wife in Kentucky... long story there. But we had fun, and I got to burn a bunch of CDs from James' collection in the process... ;) Plus Devon bought me Joy Electric's "The Art and Craft of Popular Music".

And.... it's bloody hot out here.

And I'm leaving for Mexico on the 21st.

And I got my GED diploma... with honors!!! (I scored 99 on almost everything except math, on which I got a 90) So, whoohoo.

And... no word from the College of the Ozarks yet... I'm just waiting for the next round of stupid stuff they have to send back... oh well. I don't want to go there very badly anyway.

And... yeah. I need continued prayer for my family and my spiritual life, because I've been slipping away from God again, and in these complicated and uncertain times in my life, I need to be stronger than I am. And for Devon, too, because things are even worse for him.

And... there's other stuff but I forget what it is.

God bless.

:D Congratulations!!!!! :D
I'm so happy for you! :D
I wish you a good time in Mexico, I hope it's not too hot there cuz I'm in Texas and it's pretty hot here, although we haven't reached the 100s yet,(Thank You Lord)
I hope you can get into that College you want to. It's always a bummer when you can't go where you want. My sis wanted to go to A&M but they turned her down, (yes there are people in my family who want to go to A&M, no need for any jokes........well maybe one or two)
I'll also be more than glad to send my thoughts and prayers to help you and your family & friends.

*perks up* Kentucky?!? What part? Is it close to Cincy? Maybe I can get an autograph!!!!!!

Just kidding. It'd still be pretty cool to get to meet ya. Good luck on the whole college thing, and I'll try to keep ya in my prayers (ack, another thing I should probably do more...).

Yeah...

The thing is that I don't really even WANT to go to college that badly. I'm mainly doing because... well, it's experience, and a little more credibility than my GED diploma (ie, everybody will think I dropped out of school, which, in a sense, I may have, but that's beside the point).

However... Oi. College or no, my future seems rather bleak right now, just because I have no idea what's going to happen.

Oh well. I just hope God gets me through and gives me something interesting to do.

Just a thought... me going to college could mean *bum ba BUM!* no more untitled!.... which is just as scary for me as it is for you, believe me.

No more untitled!? That would be bad, but if it came to that you shouldn't feel that bad and we shouldn't be angry. Your education and future is more important than enertaining us. Also, you have provided us with FREE entertainment. We should be more than gracious for the gift you give us everytime you post a comic.

You are such a kind and generous person I'm sure God will help you in anything you wish to do or become. All ya need is faith. Even though I have questioned a lot of things and it leads me to doing certain things like not believing in church (which I do so for personal beliefs), I always find myself asking God for help and guidance. God may not always help me in the way I thought I needed, but God always helps me through.

We'll find a way to survive. Maybe we'll hoard and print all the comics and make our own books of them and re-read them a million times. All I would want is some sort of closure on the whole thing. Like a last episode type strip. If you really enjoy making it, we'd all be patient enough to wait like once a month, I'm sure. I know I would.
I'm sure someone will see your talent and creativity and will want you to get paid for doing what you like.

Aw, no more Untitled is sad, but it's okay, given that I know people in college and how busy they are with other things. They will surely be more important then, and I wish you good luck. :)
And now I better start collecting the comics I don't have yet, because I like the of Mr W.M.Y.L.G. Joe. :D
BTW, what does "W.M.Y.L.G." actually stands for?
(sorry in case you already explained it and I missed it  )

Continuing congratulations on the diploma, Gloria!

As for Untitled, please don't feel that you owe us anything. We love it, but entertaining us is not your purpose in life. We'll understand and support you if other, more important things prevent you from continuing. Hey, if thousands of diehard fans cling to the original Star Trek series, however-many-of-us there are can certainly keep the flame lit for Untitled. :)

Both of you are in my prayers tonight and going forward. I don't know if you see this as a trial set to test your faith, but I believe that you can overcome it. It may not be easy, but from what I've seen in your art and corresponcence, I have faith that you can.

God bless you, Gloria.

Sox: goto http://wmylg.0catch.com that should explain it to ya.

I have to agree with crash. You really don't owe us anything Glor, but we certainly appreciate everything you have done for us already. I think it's neat that you're willing to share the gift you were given with so many people.

Hey, I didn't say I was for SURE going to have to quit. I don't PLAN to quit, by any means. as a matter of fact, doing untitled! IS more important to me than college. So is playing music and talking with Devon. Yes, maybe I have screwed up priorities, but that 's the way it is.

So nyeh. ;D

But really, guys.... I'm touched by your devotion and understanding, really. You're the nicest bunch of fans anybody ever had.

You're talking to a guy who's most valuable possession is a piece of wood with wheels. Priorities Shmiorities. If it's your passion, then it should be important.

Don't worry guys, I won't let her quit. ; ) She can't, it's how she expresses herself and how I know what's going on in her mind! No... drawing has always been very important to Gloria's peace of mind, so it would be dangerous for her to stop.

Mexico? Why in gods name would ya wanna go there? It's like going to Libya, or France. It's too hot here in montana, let alone 1500 miles closer to the equator.

With the exceptions of Australia, New Zealand, Antarctica, and Greater Polynesia I don't think I'd ever venture farther south than Atlanta.

As for the comic, don't sacrifice your education at the cost of regular updates. (Though ya won't hear me complain if there are! ^_^)

"We make you look good"?
Cool title, I could have used that as we had a gig last sunday!
Compared to us, the rest of the show got upgraded quite a lot. :D
And that's a cool site. Did you ever try out typeing your url and leave out the "0" ?
The site that comes then is...interesting too. Does it belong to yours?

Well, if you can't do the comic then no amount of whining is gonna change it. and i think i understand...my brother's off to college in a couple of months...and his priorities are rather twisted. First is the girlfriend and second is food, then his friend brian....i have no clue where "little sister" is in this huge list. (prolly the bottom, haha) but then again, i'm not really the one to talk about other people's prioritys. i just hate his girlfriend... Anywho, back to gloria. Congrats on EVERYTHING and i sure do hope that you get to go where you want! Are you headed for a liberal arts college, or what?

Hmmm, no I've never tried it without the 0. Yes, 0catch does tend to bury you with pop ups. I've become rather annoyed, yet immune at the same time. I just automatically know where they'll be and just close 'em the second they pop up.

*makes more wallpaper to show his slavish devotion to Gloria's comic* ;)

No, wait. Nine ought to be fine. Maybe I'll make three more and we can have an Untitled wallpaper calenda thingy, with minimuffin designs for the date boxes! Or...maybe not. ;)
