The Breasts-to-the-guards decoy makes me think of the "If I Were an Evil Overlord" list.

If Jack beheads a Sin outside of Hell they have to return there......
But what would happen within Hells domain? can Jack whack another Sin with his scythe? or do the rules forbid it?

Kind of makes ya wonder really. I mean we did see Central slicing up Bob/Lisa rather nicely. They can get hurt. But they will heal up in hell. So I guess if Jack did slice and dice up any sin down there they would get hurt. Yet not quite die at all.

Ya know. Kain looks like a meany. I wonder how Jack would fare if the two were to face off. ?O.o?

Yeah. 'Eunuch Guards Only'. Something along those lines.

I will never place guards in charge of prisoners of the opposite sex.

It's much easier to just kill them, rather than taking them prisoner... Also more fun

My money would be on Jack. He is the embodiment of wrath right now. Kain, I imagine, has a lot of scarey looks and voices but would probably fall short of Jack's fighting stength. Also Jack is a reaper, so he's got that going for him too. However Kain does have minions at his disposal, but perhaps Central and Silver's group might get involved. It could go either way depending on how many souls Kain has at his disposal.

Now Jack vs Drip would be funny. Jack would wipe the floor with him. Someone who preys on the weak and/or defenseless usually becomes overconfident with their abilities and are sloppy.

Hmm.. Yeah. I thought about making a short one- or two-page comic with Kaen vs. Drip... But I can't think of any good reasons why they should be fighting. Unless it was Drip that took Farrago's wings away, then Kaen would be angry even though he's a big jerk to her [just think of the usual Final Fantasy hero/hero's girl relationship.. Or, I guess, more like Cloud/Tifa Squall/Rinoa]. Tee hee. ^_^

I don't think any 'showdown' will take place before Jack has truly ended, and I mean completely ended. This comic isn't about 'action', it's about emotional drama. However, if we ever get to see a final arc, I guess you'll get your showdown, although most likely not in a 'guns blazing' way.

Still, by the general 'feel' of the story so far I'd say that we're getting closer. More and more pieces are dropping into place, and there's some heavy foreshadowing happening right now.
Think about it. Central suddenly reveals that she's got feelings too. Jack -the one sin that bothers with rules, according to Drip- bends the rules to the point of breaking them. Two new sins introduced in one story arc. And Arloest's appearance suggests that she might still have a part to play. Add to that the connection between Jack, Central and Kane hinted at by the artist...
That's one of the things I love about Jack. You can feel the storm coming.

I have a feeling.......possibly influenced by Bob/Lisa's remark about "extra wings" just before Central trashed them....were THEY responsible for Farrago's winglessness?
And why can't Farrago regenerate her lost limbs? The sins regenerate (eventually).....

Greed hasn't gained anything of his back... maybe it takes outright destruction? Maybe one of the sins did something to make it permenant. Maybe she keeps them gone for her own feelings. Maybe its a lapse in continuity there to make you feel sorry for that character and understand her pain...

*cough*

Well, for example, my character Kaen's wings remain clipped as a factor of his punishment - a restriction placed by the judging angels upon him for his crime. Then you get into the branding and the blindfold that won't come off and the spear he's chained to, but my idea is that Farrago's wings are kept off as .. Kind of a reminder.

As my character, Purgatory would put it:
'This is hell. The flesh does not matter. The flesh is already dead. What seems like a hand, or a leg, or, in Farrago's case, a wing, is really just the memory of that limb, constructed of solidified thoughts and emotions. Thus, if somebody takes a physical wound in the afterlife, it eventually closes. Bleeding ceases, limbs regrow. Until the soul has once again reached the state it was in when it arrived there, until it once again matches the memory pattern.
But if anyone suffers an emotional wound...the effects are more permanent. The memory pattern, the blueprint for the body, so to speak, changes, and these wounds do not heal.
Thus, Farrago was wounded more in mind than in body when she lost her wings.'

Then again, Purgatory talks too f***ing much .

Then again, maybe Farrago doesn't need her wings just like Fnar doesn't need his nose.

Bwah. Striker, maybe Purgatory can give Penance [Kaen] a couple lessons on how to respond to others a little more elaborately than a series of grunts, varied though they may be.
