This is top-notch stuff.
Hello, it's Joanna here, just writing to say that I love Tooth and Claw; - I would even go so far as to call myself a fan! It's very original, funny and witty and I found "A Flea In Her Ear" especially amusing... LOL! I also like the animation; - I think it is best in black and white, for it creates a certain "atmospheric" style (- if that is possible in a comic strip). How long have you had the site up and running? Keep up the excellent work, and I look forward to reading the next Tooth and Claw episode!
A big hand for The Biscuit Maiden, everyone!
Cheers, Joanna. Atmosphere-wise, I am a pale shadow of past masters like Edward Gorey. But I try. And T&C's been going for about three months now... longer than any of my other madcap schemes.
------------------

You just got another fan. I love your strip, and it's nice to find a Keenspacer on my side of the Atlantic. (I know York a little; my brother and sister both did degrees at the University there.)
I think you're good in both colour and black-and-white, and I quite enjoy seeing the strip go between them. Erm... at the risk of saying the wrong thing at maybe the wrong time, you paint the most disturbingly plausible bloodsmear I've seen in a comic strip yet.
[This message has been edited by Tim Tylor (edited 10-16-2001).]
Thanks! And redoubled thanks for actually appreciating my horrible inconsistency.
As for the bloodstain: don't worry unduly. It was actually mangled from a photo of the jetstream of a Whitby tour-boat. A sheltered upbringing means that I have no idea what an actual bloodstain looks like.
Disturbing seems to be becoming my medium these days...
------------------

Cheers. It was John who wrote that, wasn't it? I can't imagine it being Paul. (He'd have made it a song about a bus driver called Tim McFleery who likes his fish and chips. Possibly improving it in the process. But that's enough wild conjecture.)
------------------
