[solved] can't log into FTP with siteadmin or forums usernam

Hi, my webcomic is http://looks.keenspace.com ( http://www.skimlines.com )

I can't log into my webcomic neither using my forum username & password or my siteadmin password. I am able to log into siteadmin sometimes, but with FTP I have no luck at all.

I've tried typing in my username as all caps (as I signed up in all caps), first letter only capitalized, and all lower case, but I'm having no success.

your other thread got deleted due to spam.

if you log into quick adminit will tell you which email your comic is linked to, then try reseting your password http://siteadmin.comicgenesis.com:8080/ ... ssword.cgi maybe that will do it. some other people have been having ftp trouble so this might be a system wide problem

soory but I couldn't find any other solutions while looking through previous threads or the tutorial. you can upload some things via siteadmin

I mean, I might update it, but I need to obtain a full copy first to see where to go next.

After much confusion I tried my older keenspace-era username to reset my password, and it worked.

I have a habit of using a different username at each place so that I'm tougher to track, hence the new username on these forums & nonidentical username for the ftp, I guess ...

So yeah, I have got into my ftp. cheers.

Hi, I'm back.

I can't log in again, but this time it's the site manager I'm trying to access.

I've had my account since 2002, so I am ripe with a ton of legacy issues, like my forum name being different from my ftp name and all different passwords with all the different systems from the keenspace days.

I want to access my old webcomic at http://looks.comicgenesis.com but it redirects to http://www.skimlines.com which I've repurposed as my personal portal.

The content of my webcomic is still there since the skimlines.com content is hosted elsewhere (not comic genesis) but I cannot access it.

I would like to have looks.comicgenesis.com display its own content instead of redirecting to skimlines.com.

Help much appreciated!

edit: ftp login works great, but the username password combination I use for the ftp doesn't work for my comicgensis site manager log in. The username password combination for he forums doesn't work either.

Hi, just wanted to note that my URL is still pointing to my new host instead of to my old comics. I would really appreciate it if this could be resolved. my comicgenesis address should be http://looks.comicgenesis.com
