Stay safe out there! Looks like you're in for quite a snow...

I don't think it's supposed to be too bad around here. 7 to 9 inches, I think they were saying.

If that happened here in the UK, they'd shut everything, no one would leave their houses and all hope would be lost.

We had 6 inchs recently, and everyone around me was acting like it was the apocalypse...

Depending on what channel you watch, they're predicting between a foot and 20+ inches for us. And LIPA is warning there may be power outages again.

But, yeah, people are going crazy here, too. We went to get stuff to make salad last night and people were stocking up like Armageddon was coming. And then we had to get gas 'cause Maria's car was almost empty, and people were already waiting in long lines to get it.

Just hoping we don't lose power. We're out of kerosene ever since Sandy :( at least our food would stay cold....

They're talking at least 2 feet around here. The governor's issued a vehicle ban...no one's allowed out on the roads unless it's critical.

I suppose one good thing about this storm as compared to the famous Blizzard of '78 (which all storms around here are compared to - 35 years ago this week!) is that we've had like a week's warning, and everyone's pretty much took today off.

I've been watching it on the Weather Channel. Heard reports of 75mph gust in MA. Also heard rumors of predictions for up to 40 inches of snow.

Stay safe! Don't forget to check in if you can. :)

Woo~! Twenty-six inches! And all the roads in our town are closed; we can't remember that ever happening before.

(It's probably due to lack of funding than the depth of the snow, though.)

We only got about 6 inches. It did give me the opportunity to use the 4-wheel-drive on my jeep though.

I think we got a little under a foot. Enough that it took me a good half hour just to shovel our front porch

It's quite beautiful around here. Kids playing and sledding all day, good for them.

I may have gotten at least 1" 1/2. My back hurt so bad from shoveling the driveway. Good thing I don't draw with my back... Hmm... *considers drawing with his back*
