So, when I eventually get around to visiting you in Serbia (when is a good time for that?) what should *I* say?McDuffies wrote:That's exactly how I imagine my visit to USA.

Hah, no really, Radiohead aren't all that big in Serbia. In underground crowd yeah, but that's not the crowd Laem is likely to run into.

No, but every time I try to talk to a girl they mention games I don't care about and women I've never heard of.

I tend to find it easiest to mention the reason why you've decided to break the ice in the first place. Granted depending on the context this might not go over to well.
"I just walked over here because I want to have sex with you. By the way really like those shoes."
Then again usually I just find myself randomly chatting with people. And about two minutes into a conversation I totally forget how I got there in the first place.

I usually start with telling people how super amazingly awesome I am. It starts the relationship on the right foot. I think once they understand how fantastic I am though, they find it a little intimidating, as they don't seem to talk to me afterwards.

Consider it a filter. Why'd you need friends who don't think you're awesome anyways?Rickford wrote:I usually start with telling people how super amazingly awesome I am. It's an excellent tip though. I remember all the times when I struck out because I greeted girls in language they didn't speak.

Actually I never want to talk to those people from insurance companies, so trying to sell people insurance wouldn't be my first plan of action to talk to people I don't know.

Y'know. I've been thinking about this, and I think that more and more these days, that approach will be successful. Even with the sex thing. In fact, ESPECIALLY with the sec thing.Phact0rri wrote:I tend to find it easiest to mention the reason why you've decided to break the ice in the first place.
